They seem easy and straightforward. Good luck! Let me know if you get bubbles too? 💚

Hi, thank you for your first comment ever and welcome to our little corner of youtube. I will look up the recipes for corn starch and corn syrup, potato starch I know how to make. We don't use a lot of corn syrup in UK, I think it is substituted for golden syrup. Maybe I could experiment and see how the flavour palettes mix.... Now you have given me ideas 😂💚

Two great rhubarb recipes 😋 Even if you don't eat jam that often, it keeps almost forever when preserved. Ps. cover the bottom of the pot with baking soda and a little water and leave to soak. You can then boil it once and then you won't have to scrub as much

Thank you so much! Rhubarb recipes are great but rhubarb cleaning tips are the real gems! I will remember 🤞💚

I have heard of strawberry rhubarb but not orange rhubarb. That sounds really good! I don’t think there is anything wrong with the bubbles in the jam. I usually have that when I use whole fruit instead of just juice. My strawberry jam always comes out that way. Even though we use the cup measurements here in the states, I love using my scale. It’s more precise. Now about your pans. Im wondering if you rinse it out well and then boil some water and baking soda for 5-10 mins if that might help release some of the burnt sugar. It’s worth a try if you are having trouble scrubbing them. Maybe someone else can pipe in and give you more advice on that. 😉

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will try the boiling with soda as I spent 2 hours scrubbing last night and there was very little improvement. It is great to know that bubbles in jam are okay. I was just worried as it is a different way to make jam then my mum taught me. 💚

Love your videos. I know nothing about jam making but wouldn't it taste burned from the pan?
@MyFantasyHomestead4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Strangely it didn't taste burnt at all, I tried it from the spatula before washing it. Very strawberryish with a hint of sour from rhubarb. Tho' I am not looking forward to scrubbing the pots 💚

@@MyFantasyHomestead Do you think you may have picked the rhubarb a bit too early not leaving it till it was bigger and pinker?
