I Tried to Renovate The Goth House in The Sims 4

I think this is the first Goth house reno I've seen where the vibes are kept the same. Most people just modernize the house and make it less gothic and I cry a little bit about it every time :(

At 22:55 I honestly thought the heart bed was such a iconic move, to me the goths reminds me a lot of the Addams family and with how much Gomez adores Mortica i can totally see it. Awesome build as always

Fun facts: Bella and Mortimer Goth's names in Spanish are Elvira and Homero Lápida (lápida means tombstone or gravestone). Homero is also the Spanish name of Gómez Addams. Also, Gómez is not a first name but a last name in Spanish, maybe that's why they changed it to Homero.

in brasilian portuguese their last name is "Caixão", which means coffin! They also had their first names changed to something more brasilian, so they're called Vladimir and Laura Caixão ❤❤❤

In polish the names stayed (Bella and Mortimer) but for some reason they chnaged their surname to "Ćwir" which I find strange because it litterally means "Chirp". As in: the bird sound.

In Sweden they’re named Bella and Mortimer Spökh (spök without the H is a short version of Spöke whitch means ghost, usually you say det spökar which means ”it’s haunting”) swedish grammar is weird so it makes it hard to explain lol

The only thing I thought that was missing was a music room, on the sims 2 I think that Vladmir was severe Dad that expected nothing but excellence from the kids, this includes the younger son being the best of the class and already playing violin and piano. Also Vladimir and Bella's bedroom I would make it look more conservative, I always thought that they were super conservative for goths lol, and a basement, this house not having a basement was a crime from the jump from EA. But your building is perfection, I love that

I just have a quick remark that probably don’t matter, but I would inverse the stove and the sink in the kitchen because we typically don’t put stoves/ovens in front of windows because of issues related to safety, ventilation, and cleanliness. I encountered the platform fence thingy when working on your evil shell challenge! What's happening is that the wall from the roof messes it up. I solved it by instead of 2 tile thick roof i did 1 tile and then dragged the roof edge to the platform and then the fences worked, so it just needs a gap between the "walls". Great renovation

once the new pack is released since the new world, Ravenwood, is based on Romania - could you maybe make a haunted but extravagant gothic romanian castle… like full on Scooby Doo (+ Dracula) style castle! lol 😄 the dark but colorful, cartoonish aesthetic would really fit the Sims 4. maybe a castle for the Noble Vampires household? because they fit in a Romania-inspired world perfectly! 🦇💜

I built my own house for the goths recently, like bulldozed theirs and made a new one, and im so upset because it ended up looking SO CUTE on the outside, like perfectly on theme with AMAZING LANDSCAPING, but once i made the floor plan i was like oh great its all ruined 😭 i thought it was the same size as their previous house but nope, i gave them an actual backyard and it resulted in the house being too small and now bella and mortimer have a tiny bedroom with no on suite, and their laundry room is a 1x2 closet that i shoved awkwardly on the upstairs floor 😐 but i dont wanna ruin the backyard or the exterior so they just have to live like that even though they are supposed to be rich 😭
