Love the Charlie Robbins influence (I'm assuming). You have anything done to that JP70? I have the exact same guitar but I got it used and modified, could never get a tone or setup I liked.

Yes I changed the pickups for Kiesel low gain pickups, the original sterling ones are very low quality, only archetype Plini could give me a "modern" tone and it wasn't so good. Definitely a good investment to change them

@@louis_barras Cool! Mine's ready for that change right now. No electronics and waiting to decide on a set. They had already been swapped for Duncan Nazgul/Sentients. Those are supposed to be pretty good but they weren't my thing at all. Bridge was way too cold and shrill, neck was too warm and fat. Middle was the worst of both. If I don't find something else I like, I'll get my third set of Mick Thomson Blackout EMTYs.

@@wob6776 Yes but honestly if you really want something for the kind of tones you hear in this video, this is simply not the most appropriate guitar, that's why I'm about to change soon

@@louis_barras Oh yeah I definitely figured that out. I ended up building an Ibanez partscaster with the aforementioned pickups, used neck and FR-style body. I just don't get rid of any of my guitars so eventually I plan to make the JP70 playable again, maybe intended for a different style since the new build has me covered for everything technical and/or metal.

you can get a fluid that you put on your nails so when ever you bite them it tastes bad

Use a nail polish for the right hand and keep biting the left one, that worked for me haha
