I have the paddle comb. I put two mailer rubberbands around the handle. The large rubberbands keeps the comb from sliding so much.

Thank you for the tip! I just purchased the set and plan to use later during the styling part of my wash day routine. I already used the comb to detangle before washing and I really liked it so far and it may things go by so quickly. I watched a few videos and many mentioned the slippery nature of the handle and I was already thinking what I can do to solve that issue and you come through as the problem solver! I am so excited to use the rest of the set.

I have a pink one...whole head less than 10 minutes. It's amazing! I also used it on my daughter's and grandson's hair. I call it a brush. The fancy name does not change the fact ...that's a brush.

I love, love, love this paddle comb (yes, I also call it a brush). I agree with you, it can get slippery and I hold it the same way. It would be great if they added a nonslip silicon to the handle. I didn't notice you try the end to part your hair. For me it works but it's a little more cumbersome then using my fingers or a rattail comb (I rarely use this since I hardly ever need precise parts)
@Leaveit2Nessa3 жыл бұрын
I'm still trying to think why I didn't use the tail part in this video. Lol! But I feel like for parting nothing works better than my fingers.

I’ve used it before and found it a bit too bulky, slippery, and heavy. I may revisit trying it though. I’m always afraid I may drop it on my toe, lol.
@Leaveit2Nessa Жыл бұрын
Drop it on your toe part 😂😂😂. I know what you’re talking about. When you revisit, don’t hold it at the handle, move your hand all the way up and you’ll see the difference. I hope that helps.

I tried it but it was after using the alikay naturals leave in and Shea butter so this paddle comb didn’t easily run through my strands. I feel it would work better with a deep conditioner or if I detangle in the shower with a conditioner that has slip
@Leaveit2Nessa3 жыл бұрын
I’m not used to the Alikay products, so I can’t really speak on them. But I personally try not to detangle my hair if it doesn’t have a product with good slip on it (no matter what I’m doing). I would totally give it a try again with different products and with wet hair.

@PreppyFay123 жыл бұрын
What a coincidence I just ordered the pick and the comb. I did not like the paddle comb on my fine strands. I feel like my kinky-coily fine strands need flexible bristles. Hair stats: 4B/4C, fine strands, high porosity, medium density.
@Leaveit2Nessa3 жыл бұрын
It's great to get another point of view. Have you tried the "Brush With the Best" by Felicia Leatherwood? It sounds like it could be a good fit for you. That's the one I've been using until I tried this one out and I still love it although this one is saving me a lot of time.
@PreppyFay123 жыл бұрын
@@Leaveit2Nessa I have actually I’ve tried quite a few detangling brushes. I don’t like the Felicia Leatherwood I felt like it ripped up my ends over time. The only brush I use now ans I like under certain conditions is the EZ Detangler Brush dupe from Shanique Buntin’s store.
@PreppyFay123 жыл бұрын
I fell like fine strand naturals we have to be more careful with tools because our hair is the most prone to breakage.
@cheryll.g.69583 жыл бұрын
@@PreppyFay12 I'm with you there. This paddle comb works great on my daughter's thick, 4A coils. Me, not so much. My fine strands do so much better with the Tangle Teezer (the one with the handle) and the Denman paddle brush.
@PreppyFay123 жыл бұрын
@@cheryll.g.6958 Wow I’m surprised I got the tangle Teezer with the handle tried it once and sent it right back to Ulta. It has way too many bristles for my fine strands. I do have the Denman D38 Paddle Brush which I like but I stopped using it on wet or damp hair and only use it when I’m blowdrying my hair out with my Revair. I saw too many small broken hairs on my sink. The bristles are more flexible but also slightly too strong for my wet or damp strands and really grips my strands and can pull on em. Honestly I’m hoping the Kazmaleje comb works as a first step and then I can use my EZ detangler tool to finsh because I’m getting tired of buying and trying all these brushes. My ends break very easily but I also need to have thorough detangling because my fine strands can knot easily at the ends/shed hairs can really hide in my hair and cause knots.
