I Tried Your CHRISTMAS Hunting Traditions! | theHunter: Call of the Wild

Hello and welcome back to theHunter: Call of the Wild! It's almost Christmas, and you know what that means. Special Christmas hunting videos 😎 That's right. I asked you guys what hunting traditions you have around the holidays, and attempted them in CotW. Merry Christmas, and make sure to watch to the end to see Pablo!
My loadout this video:
*Malmer 7mm Magnum* (A beast of a gun, and possibly my favorite)
*.243* (The starting gun, and one of the best in the game for small/medium animals)
*Virant .22LR* (A small little .22 that barely makes a noise. Only usable to hunt class 1's, but with decent range and the ability to make animals go alert, but not run.)
*Miller Model 1891* (My favorite shotgun, a trusty 10 gauge that can shoot birdshot, buckshot, and slugs)

A tradition for us used to be taking the dogs the the hunting preserve to hunt pheasants the day after xmas. Good training for the pups, as well as a pretty much garunteed harvest, assuming you can hit them. I would enjoy if COTW had preserves that exclusively had birds, sorta like a mini-map DLC.

You probably know this already, but I can really recommend the lower island on Revontuli Coast for bird hunting, it's a big birds only area with a ton of waterfowl species

@@real_Fabiot yeah, but i have a gsp and upland bird hunt irl, duck hunting is kind of an animal all its own. Just throwing a thought out that you see irl that would make a good grind mechanic. Pay to have 20 birds put out on a small preserve with a 2x chance for diamonds or rares, for a fee of course.

You could do a challenge where pablo chooses your guns and where you hunt by having treats on a mat and whatever treat he eats is the gun you use.

Pa has the only traditional flintlock muzzleloader season the day after Christmas and ya get family and friends and just drive all day and it’s the best type of hunting I do

Rooster, you and I are the same. When I have a choice between the two soap flavours I have, I always feel bad for the soap I didn't choose. And you feel bad for animals in a video game. 😂 Also video ideas: -Only shooting while laying down -No using a dog -Getting as close as possible to the target before shooting -Don't touch the pathways/roads (Do the exact opposite of the only on the road challenge!) A good challenge would be a pistol only run to get your score up. It can be a lot of fun too. maybe go for one of each ranking or one of each from a map to give you a good challenge.

For the people in the comments here's a tip if you don't know: 1 bar noise is 10m then 20m then 30m. Red bars are 50m then 100m then 150m. The quad does 300m of noise.

Warnings are just coded in as a guide to where an animal is, the animals usually remain calm unless you make too much noise going towards them.

A gunshot makes 200m of noise, ideally you wanna hit something from around 100 - 150m away.
