This review was so funny because i also didn't care for this book so I feel validated watching this lol. watching you trying to figure out who recommended it was hilarious. They really did you dirty giving four romances in a group of romance readers 😆

There are some amazing thoughts on grief later in the book that are just beautiful (I've lost both my parents, a woman who was like a second mother to me and in 2021 a dear friend if mine). The thoughts on grief and processing it just resonated with me.The chair is significant which you will find out later. And the author's note is quite insightful as to what was happening in her life as she was editing this.

Thank you for giving voice to my feelings about Seven Year Slip. I skimmed the last few chapters because I was over it. I was really disappointed because I could NOT figure out why so many people loved it

@@capuchin581 Thank you so much for this comment! It’s daunting to post a video that disagrees with the majority 😅❤️ I’m so happy to hear that my thoughts gave voice to yours!

I once heard someone say (wish I could remember who) that the reason people gravitate to romance is the same reason that people go to their favorite restaurant and order their favorite dish repeatedly - it's comfortable, it's predictable, it makes you feel exactly how you want to feel. That describes me perfectly.

That is such a thought-provoking way of looking at romance. I would argue that is one of the reasons why I love the mystery genre. It's predictable in that you know the mystery will be solved by the story's close, which is also very comforting; in romance, you know the couple will get their HEA.

Hi, I am a mystery lover that struggles to find engaging romance novels. I am currently reading Love in the time of serial killers and I am actually enjoying it. The mc is doctural student who has to clean out her deceased father's house. Her dissertation is on True Crime novels.

I remember reading Poison Study. I really enjoyed it, but I do feel that it is more fantasy than romance. I mean, yes, it is there, but it isn't a main thing.

That might be what I need! Because I love a romantic subplot, but when it's the focus, that is when I begin to see problems!

So I actually think that you might like Love Redesigned. There is a lot more to the romance than just the romance. That said, it's still dual POV, so I'm not sure what you would actually think!

Just think how much you'd hate A Novel Love Story. Have you read the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger? They're adult paranormal romance and historical. So they have like... a romance, a mystery, werewolves and vampires, and set in Victorian London. Maybe you'd like that? 😅

I HAVE AND I LOVED THAT FREAKIN' BOOK. I now own the rest of the series and need to continue!

I just read A Novel Love Story and it was very cheesy indeed. I think I'll skip this one because I enjoyed A Time Traveler's Wife back in the day and I'll be content without rehashing it with cheese 🧀

I have friends who have recently finished A Novel Love Story and the cheesiness what perfect for them! It appears that the cheese is just not for me 🤪
