The things you do for videos...manapua is awesome...musubis is good too and try the bento there...pretty good...I like the icees too but maybe not butter mochi flavor...I usually go with melon flavor or coke flavor. Spicy ahi roll is good too.

Taniokas for hawaiian loco food. Pricey but it's fresh and delicious. Fish cakes or hawaiian plate. Cone sushi all there pokes, poke bowl.. it does help if yall got a really good friend. Hope yall enjoys oahu and please be safe 🙏

You should try saimin. That's like our version of ramen. It's kinda basic compared to ramen but still a comfort food here for sure. I've been going to palace saimin in kalihi since I was a kid so like 30 years but a couple other well known places are shiro's in pearl city, shige's in wahiawa and sekiya's in waikiki

Hawaii's 7-11 has some really neat local snacks, and have yet to try some. Can't wait to try the Haupia Slurpee.. JoAnna, have you tried making Spam Musubi - super easy esp with the musubi mold. Thanks again........

Hawaii 7-11 head/shoulders different from mainland 7-11/ABC. IMO....You can learn much more about Hawaii cuisine going into 7-11 than ABC

In Hawaii, nobody eat pork hash, aka shumai, w/chopsticks. It's ALL Finger Foods!-lol...That's the first time heard of needing permit to shoot video in 7-11. Maybe it's store policy, coz have seen other vlogs where customers shooting video inside. Where was this 7-11?
