I was thinking about buying this and watched a ton of videos, yours is by FAR the best one. You are easy to watch, explained things very clearly, didn't add in extra babble, I think you have a career here. So, I went out and bought it, and clearly do not have the skills you do. My fine hair and my styling inexperience are plotting against me. Gonna try it a few more times with your video playing and see what happens. BTW- the "'70's side" looks fabulous!

I have the instyler and when I'm straightening my hair with it I run the instyler through my hair but when making curls with it. I don't drag it after wrapping it around the wand. I think that's what was causing the weird crimping and fuzzier. 😉 I hope that helped.

PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE!!!! I watch a ton of first impression videos but sometimes they're not very helpful because the person testing the item isn't very skilled. Watching someone who is a hair guru/professional test out a hair tool for the first time creates a much more positive view of the product, and I get so much more out of the video! Plus I just love you :) Please do more!!! ♡

I personally love the InStyler. I have the older model and it works great and is the only hair tool I use for everyday styling. I have very wavy long hair and I use it to straighten and give my hair some bounce. It makes my hair look as if I got a blowout from the salon. Also you can use the InStyler when your hair is damp, the barrel dries your hair without frying it while the brush smooths it all out :)

First I think your tutorials are amazing! Braiding my hair makes me happy and relaxed and I follow a lot of hair youtubers but my hair never looks as good as in your tutorials. I love your messy and trendy vibe. Also, you know how recently a lot of runways incorporated glitter to their hair trends, I think they glued it with hairspray. Maybe you could do this in a tutorial, I think it would be so original (yet, brave!) to go to a special party with this! :)

+Tiffany Black Thanks! One thing that has occurred to me since filming is that you can't really work in large sections. I went in about 1" sections at a time. With a lot of hair that may be time consuming if you're used to working in larger sections. It could still be a good option for you; I just think it's good to have that info when deciding :).
@jasminemohamed57316 жыл бұрын
If you want your curls to stay curled near the roots, you should curl the whole strand of hair around the barrel and let it rotate without moving the curler down, just leave it there for like 10 seconds (depends on your hair thickness and type) and you will get a full curl

I've been using the istyler for some time. I love it. Yes, you could get hair stuck at the end so stay away from it. I've also been using the instyler hair curler and the Maximus straightener. The straightener is really great. I can get my hair done in twenty minutes. With the wet and style, it would take me at least one hour.

I have the old one so it doesn't spin in the opposite direction. I don"t really care though. If i want to curl my hair i just use it like a curling wand and don't close it. I love using it to straighten my hair cause you can use it to curl the ends rather than have pin straight hair. Also its great for straightening your bangs without making the limp! edit: I have thick hair, and have used it when my hair has been medium length and long.
@rockabella65857 жыл бұрын
My mom and sister swear by this product!! They both have fine hair... mom's is naturally bone straight and sis' is naturally really curly. Mom keeps hers straight but uses this for volume and to curl her bangs and the bottom of her hair under (occasionally, she will do a little flip on the bottom layer)... Sis uses it for volume and to straighten her hair. I look forward to trying it sometime for my SUPER thick, course, slightly curly hair to smooth it and give me those bigger curls/waves.

Has anyone with thick long hair tried this? Or does anyone have tips to make my hair stayed curled with a regular wand because it never stays as it's quite heavy 😩
@jadaturner65269 жыл бұрын
After you take the piece of curl off your wand hold it in the palm of your hand for like 30 seconds or pin it up until you're finished curling all the hair and leave it pinned up for like 5mins to an hour and hairspray before you take all the hair out and then voilà it'll stay that way until 3 days or until you wash it
@gemmamcn95879 жыл бұрын
+jade turner thanks X I usually do this and it lasts an hour if I pin it after each curl and it lasts 20 mins if I don't pin but do everything else. I will usually be left with just a small wave after the hour or 20 mins.

I think the best tip is to buy a good quality curling wand with good heat settings. I personally don't have hard to curl hair but the other way around. My hair gets really frizzy when i straighten it using my old straightener and it never looked good but when i decided to buy the nume straightener and switch up my haircare products, i swear i never had soooooo much compliments about my hair im not even exaggerating hahaha but what im trying to say is buy a really good hair tool and use the right hair products it should take you a long way no matter what hairstyle you are trying to achieve. I have the nume titanium curling wand and i recommend it. It has high heat settings and doesnt make your hair frizzy plus you can always find promo codes online so you don't have to pay the original price on their website.
@oogaboogabiggading19 жыл бұрын
OMG I had the same problem! Nume curling wands are my holy grail for curling my hair! I have incredibly hard to curl hair, like seriously when I did dance I had to put my hair in curlers over night and then wake up, curl each curl again with an iron, hair spray and recurl and hairspray...its was ridiculous. Last year for my parents bought me the Nume Lustrum set and now I can curl my hair in 30 minutes and my hair is thick and goes to the middle of my back. What I do is curl my hair on the wand and then pull it off the iron and quickly wrap it around two fingers (you can do one for tighter curls or three for looser but I like two the best on my hair) and pin it up with sectioning clips and let it cool pinned up like that. Hope this helps!

I actually got the original "2-in-1" Instyler after checking Grav3yardgirl's video for my mom - she's got the wild curly hair that she often straightens because it's less work. On mornings she lets her hair air dry more, a quick blow-dry and trusty straightener are faster, but she still prefers the body and bounce of the Instyler. I use it some, too, lol. I've got baby-fine straight hair, and I like to use it at the root around my crown for lift as well as giving a little polish with curving my ends and smoothing out a cowlick in my bangs. Personally haven't used it to curl yet, but I'm not used to using a curler anyway. For my hair, the body alone was worth it! I get oily, so that lift even keeps my hair from looking greasy as quickly.
@Elizabeth-oj7rb9 жыл бұрын
What I do to curl my hair with the instyler and it just wrap my hair around the barrel and use it like a wand. I don't close it. It comes out better that way for curls.
