That actually isn't the first time Lizzie used a line like that! I remember distinctly watching her finale and getting shivers. She ends last life, her only full season in the series, where she was basically flung headfirst into the chaos and told try not to drown, with the words "So I left this world just as I had entered it: confused." Aside from it just being an awesome line, I immediately was put back to X-life, where she walked through her museum recounting her lives, before lying in a bed at the end and saying "And so I died as I lived: dramatically." Part of the thing that gets me between the two is that in X-life she was very dramatic, and most of her deaths came from her trying too hard to do something lol. It was a dramatic final death, sure, but she took her time and it was very purposeful. But in last life she was flung into a death game very confused, and with all the chaos she never REALLY figured out what was going on. And of course she died from the wither rose planted by Bdubs, her life ended with an unknown source of damage and a lot of yelling. Basically the opposite of X-Life, so hearing basically the same ending to such radically different stories was freaky. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk lol, go watch X-life if you're interested

@@KubickQ grian is a unique case because he IS a watcher. The watchers come from an old SMP Grian, Solidarity, Martyn and a few others were apart of called Evo. At the end of Grian's Evo series, he became a watcher. I believe Martyn has confirmed Grian being a watcher on stream before if i remember correctly.

To me it doesn't feel as serious...it feels not as much like a song where things go down, except for the parts right before the choruses - compared to the Third Life song which feels like something is building up right from the start, leading to the choruses where it feels like war (and it's SO catchy). I know it won't be a popular one but I much prefer the Third Life song - they're both great though!

The happy tone of the first song will clearly be better than this. But this feels good in context to what happened in Last Life(in third life things got very serious towards the end, while in last life, it was more or less there from mid season, so the serious tone works).

(the watchers section feels almost like artifical tension when you hear the actual song) While the 3rd Life one feels intense and dramatic, this one's only sense of non-happy feeling is a few parts before the choruses before it goes back to feeling happy. (the instrumentals make this more clear - the lyrics are cool here but it feels like a happy bop rather than an intense war song) But anyways, both are very good and Anvil can absolutely make a career out of making music.

@@DRMINE12123 the watchers are from grian's old server, evo, and at the end he was taken by the watchers (godlike beings) and made a watcher, and thus is often depicted as a watcher. the eye is on his head because it can be a symbol of the watchers (y'know, an eye 'cause they watch hehe) martyn (inthelittlewood on youtube) has a bunch of lore with the watchers in the life series, so if you want to know more he has some vods explaining it. hope this helps :D

Oh gosh this is such a good song! I love the motifs and references we've got here now that we have two of the songs! For example, we all heard that small riff at the start and end of the song, a reference to the finale of third life. By having it at the end of the song, it allows us to continue forward. The motif can continue on at the start of the double life song, and continue us on to the Limited Life song as well, so on. The "BOOM" from Bdubs in the chorus reminded me of Impulse's "And we go BOOM", from the third life song, though they are in different parts of the song. I look forward to more booms throughout future choruses! Of course, considering this just released, I assume you're going to keep making songs for the rest of the seasons. I am ready to wait even longer, because a masterpiece like this needs time to come to fruition and become a fine wine. I shall rewatch this again and again.

Yup! I noticed in fact too! I wonder if in the Double Life song, Grian AND Scott will have a third purple eye on them. Or would it only be for Grian because he was the 3rd Watcher and all that lore stuff from Evo SMP.

I can't explain why but all three hermitcraft/life series video songs you've made bring me to tears. I just get so overwhelmed every time I listen to them (which is often) it's a complicated emotion, one part excitement for a series I love so much being turned into something so incredible, one part pure intense FEELING over the incredible storytelling of these songs, and one part fear that I'll never create something that makes this kind of impact. It all comes together into one very fierce emotional cocktail lmao.

Omg I didn’t think anybody could convey this feeling but yes!!! On one hand I’m so passionate about the series and the song is such a banger, but it honestly brought out something deeper that’s hard to explain. It made me ugly cry honestly.
