@@LizMiele Just to burst your bubble about taxidermists a little, some 45 or so years ago, a girlfriend, who was 16 or 17 at the time, stuffed a small bird - sucessfully as I recall. Mind you she also rebuilt a Royal Enfield 250!

Much better Liz. I've been watching you for a while. Wasn't sure if you were going to end up dead or end up successful. You seem to have turned some type of corner and your comedy is a lot brighter, and on a morbid topic no less. I like this version of you. Keep going.

It is great that, even having watched this show before, it is still very entertaining to hear you (re)tell the story, Liz. 😁 You are definitely a top-notch story teller, and your comedy ages very well.

Three times watching the special or - now - this chunk. Still awesome. I think it's the story-telling that works so well for Ms. Miele. Always has, prolly always will. Like "can I start complaining immediately?" for joke #1 in this special. Netflix, are you listening?

The first thing I imagined was a series of lamps that belong to someone who keeps cloning their pet. Then I imagined a kitten, playing beneath the lamp of its former iteration. Then I imagined a monk, who knows the exact little shelf in the catacombs where his skull will join those of his predecessors. I always figured I'd want my remains to be composted, but there's something attractive about the notion of my skull, with a light inside it, on a post near the driveway - a legacy of sequestered calcium.

My sister had a cat from the day he was born, until he died, for nineteen years. Mikey hated everyone except my sister. The day he died, my sister was coming out of her bedroom at the top of the stairs and saw him lying there at the bottom of the stairs with his eyes open. She called me, in complete hysterics, and wanted me to come take care of the situation. I only lived a couple miles from her at the time. When I got there, I see Mikey laying there and to me, it looked like he was staring at the flight of stairs with complete disdain. My sister has not been able to come downstairs and was still sort of hiding in her bedroom until I could take care of things. I got an old towel and started to move Mikey, and this is when I learned everything I needed to know about my sister's husband. I literally had to peel Mikey from the carpet like he was Velcro. Which meant that he had been there long enough for my brother-in-law to have seen Mikey lying there when he was getting ready for work. Then my sister said something that I never expected to hear. She asked me if I would pose him and take a few pictures, because she clearly didn't have enough over nineteen years. I told her, as gently as I could, that she really didn't want me to do that. She'd always know that she was looking at pictures of a dead cat. The truth is, I'd have had to break his legs in order to pose him. (I didn't tell her that part.) I wrapped him up in a towel and told her that I was going to take him out on my property and bury him somewhere pretty. Which I did.

aw thats heartbreaking but thats really nice of you to do all that. My little brother watches and takes care of my cats when i travel and i feel so lucky to have him there but really to have such a good brother that lives close and its nice you have that with your sister.

@LizMiele2 ай бұрын
I personally do very little crowd work while touring. Its a tool i use when needed but if the crowd is good i tell jokes and stories because that's why i got into stand up. To create and be funny, not find out about people's break up like I'm Maury. Its just not interesting to me honestly. Sorry
