A lot of passion in that guy for sure (I'm the one in the back seat that didn't die as he puts it). There is a ton of fun ahead for you D ean as we build this gyro company baby....Oh! and now fixed wing as well :)

Well, of course you weren't hurt, you safely landed on your huge balls.

Very good video of your training in a gyrocopter, well done! AirGyro Calidus, ELA Eclipse? Thank you for not adding any music, please never do. Just the wind rushing by, the engine noise, along with the prop zing and rotor blade slap, is the most desirable music, in my opinion. Checking out your channel for more good content. Thank you for sharing your adventure!

Thanks Snoopy - we appreciate your comments. This is an ELA 10-Eclipse - a truly wonderful gyro to fly. Are you a pilot too?

good work M8 you had it easy on the first on , but the second one was harder and you managed it well , my training with KT I had to land each time ,thats to drive home the fact they dont glide very far without power , but gyros are very manageable without power I find , fancy pants gyro though lol.

Fantastic work Dean, Very calm under pressure. Loved the go-round... little bit of a cross wind on the second glide. Can you get a Headsup glide scope on that model? What's the maximum and optimal climb rate for your plane?
@rotor-sport_australia2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. There's no headsup glide scope - no real need for one either. Climb rates depend on weight, wind, and airspeed, but achieving over 1000 fpm is certainly possible. Best rate of climb speed is 65 kts.
