I finally got my heirlooms shards just 30 minutes ago and just feel like waiting to see what the other characters have. I have the most kills with pathfinder, caustic, and Bangalore but I'm not totally in love with their heirlooms. Maybe if Horizon gets something cool I'd play her again.

I’m guessing you’re talking about the number on the upper right corner of the open pack button. This is the total number of packs you have, even if they are different (for example if you have 1 classic pack and 1 event pack, it will show 2 in the corner since it’s your total number of packs). This number is going down since Kandy is opening packs, works the same way as the event pack counter. Hope you understand :)
