A monumental upgrade! That sand blue hammer and construction claw are over-the-top in realistic function. Very much liked the upgraded cockpit with roll-cage. A 💥 build once again.

Beautiful upgrade as always. My only addition would be some kind of ore storage container maybe? Something similar to the trans-blue or green ones from Hero Factory Invasion from Below would fit perfectly in with the set. Or it could be part of a separate mobile outpost that can be quickly setup to scan any mineral/ore deposits

Because when Lego makes a product they work from an already SET price point. It's part of their successful billion dollar business model. The designer then BUILDS TO this price point. That determines the piece count etc. The designer will push it as far as the price that was set allows. If they go over that budget, they have to cut back on something on the model. They do this for their ENTIRE LINE. It's from their marketing. And Lego is NOT supposed to be the end all when you buy a kit. See what Mishima does here. This is what Lego is all about. You take a set, build it then either rebuild it different or add to it. That's why no glue, no paint, no sanding, etc. It's meant to be a customizable easy build model system.
