Out of curiosity, how heavy were each of the bean bags? I’m looking to weigh my pumpkin kitty like this but I’m unsure how much polyfil to buy ;0;. Would 1kg be enough?

I love Custard & so glad you got her! I recently joined a Discord server dedicated to BaBs & saw the dramas first hand and how many people missed out, even though they thought they'd bought her. I didn't get her myself, though I saw her in store, her whiskers put me off tbh (I wouldn't mind getting the OG one though, if her prices ever come down, as I used to have one XD ). Her hat & scarf are adorable! Totally get the impulse purchases though (looking at you Toothless - he gets to be a video too!) 💙

Thank you so much! You’re too sweet! I actually got really into the build a bear subreddit because of this little lady and just the other day joined a discord group for them! Maybe it’s the same one lol! It really was wild being in those spaces as all this was going down! I personally LOVE the whiskers! As far as I know, the OG one has them too and, I think the only difference with them is the thickness? One is thicker than the other but I’m not sure which is which lol! This seems to be a SUPER faithful recreation of the original 2008 cat and honestly so adorable! But if the whiskers are a no go for you, the OG might not be to your liking either unfortunately. But if you don’t mind then I hope you can get your hands on an original one without paying an arm and a leg for them! I honestly don’t do this kind of impulse buy very often! The “I HAVE TO HAVE IT NOW, NO THOUGHTS, ONLY BUY” kind of impulse buy.😂 I can’t actually think of a time I’ve EVER seen a product and went “I’m buying it right now, no matter what” besides this! Build a bear really got me good with this one! I’m usually SO careful with my money, almost excessively.😅 (I blame growing up without a lot of money lol.) any other “impulse buys” are more like “stand in the store staring at it and debating for an hour wether or not you should get it” buys, lol!

@@sewmicah Haha, more than likely as that's how I found it too! (I don't use Reddit myself but I've been on Discord for years now). It really was insane. Don't think I've ever witnessed anything like it before. From what I remember of the '08 version she had the thinner whiskers, but it's been a hot minute since I had her, so I could be wrong. If I do get her, I may just switch out the whiskers altogether. I've always had poor impulse control, though I've discovered there's a reason for that, but I'm getting better. Toothless on the other hand was £2 second hand & I snapped him up without thinking. Usually, though I do think things through a bit better than I used to 💙

Oh yeah! I’ve definitely seen someone take out the whiskers all together! That’s always a good option if you like the plush otherwise!!! Oh man £2? I may not know the exact conversion to USD, but that’s definitely a cheap grab! Impulse buys are definitely more likely when you’re at a second hand shop! I’m glad you’re better at doing less impulse buys now though! That’s got to be better for your wallet lol! 😅💛

@@sewmicah Customising is so much fun, even with something as simple as that! It's about $2.50 (did have to pay postage but was still under £5/$6) so he really was a steal. It's a slow process but I'm confident I'll get there, eventually. My wallet certainly will be grateful when I do manage it on a regular basis 💙
