There is a big difference between your type of videos and all the other pod videos. Your videos motivate us low tier Merchers. You give examples of what we could expect in our journey and that helps me push harder and motivates me. Thanks!!

I am really glad to hear that my videos help motivate you. It's one thing knowing how to do something, but having the motivation and dedication to do it can be just as hard if not harder

Great insight. I especially appreciate your thoughts about creating unique designs not based off someone else's design. I realize we all do that to some degree or another, and that not every design is going to be unique, but I'm still striving to stay in that direction. Thank you.

I'm a bit off target. I'm tier 2k. upload full- with about 20 that had at least one sale. only ONE sells consistently-my own idea, not trend which makes the bulk of my money. I found that design on the other sites AND WENT AFTER THEM ALL! I dont chase every one of my designs down but that one that sales, YES, so far, I've had them all taken down.

It is totally normal that a small amount of designs make up the majority of your sales/income😉

Do you know how to, or have a video on, how to do bulk listings on Etsy to streamline the time-sucking processes of mock ups, titles, tags, etc. Have you found out a way to do this quickly??

Great video! When you say original designs have sold better for you, do you mean the phrase that you’re using is original too? Or you’re using the same phrase as everyone else and just doing a different style of design? Thanks!
@PhilipAnders
@PhilipAnders Жыл бұрын
Both of those apply really. It's either a completely new sentence or at least the design layout/ style is original and not just copied. But 100% original is probably best as if people actually like your idea, you are the first to market with it

@@PhilipAnders first - uploaded 😀,, filled all 100 with original(!) dog lover joke + Halloween. Not much but sold like 14 shirts in 2 weeks. When delete Halloween designs? I need slota for Christmas 😀

@@pushismano77 That's still a great achievement! I would say delete on 30th. Shirts probably won't deliver on time by then and sales will stop

What does mean scalable designs - it's about vectors or something about designs with same content but different variable inside like age , etc. ?

Question:: If I'm on more than one marketplace, can I upload the same exact design to say like Redbubble and Tpublic??
@PhilipAnders
@PhilipAnders Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! None of the common POD marketplaces have exclusivity rights to your designs :)
@HaulingPros1

So, if we have some designs that are trending designs, should we delete them after say a couple of months???
@PhilipAnders
@PhilipAnders Жыл бұрын
Depends on the circumstances. If you are in a low tier on merch yes. Otherwise you might as well leave them up
@TMBTM

Would you say that, on Redbubble for example, an evergreen design (let's say a "quit smoking" design) that sold okay during one or two years but that does not sell anymore could have been pushed back by the plateform because it's simply getting "too old"? And if yes, then could it be interesting to remove and re-upload the same design? (To simply make it "fresher" to the eye of the plateform)
@PhilipAnders
@PhilipAnders Жыл бұрын
Old designs can drop off, it's natural with print on demand. I wouldn't delete it if it has sold a lot. Re-uploading it or creating similar designs and uploading those is a great idea to test out.

Be careful with your designs... one of my best sellers was copied and then even sold to many people on some svg website. I saw my design make good money at first and. then sales fell. A few years later I discovered that so many other people are selling my original design on all the t-shirt stores, Esty, and even Ebay. Its very disheartening because this kind of stuff cannot even be taken down from hundreds of pages, especially when these people buy a copied design and believe that they have rights to it. I'd have to spend money on actually copyrighting that design because to prove anything I would need paperwork. Just FYI for all those who are making original designs.

Designs being stolen is unfortunately just a part of Print on Demand. Even if you protect your designs that doesn't solve the problem. You would have to invest large amounts of time and or money to continuously get them taken down. I just ignore it at this point, it's better for mental health & making progress
