Im definitely going to make a full video on how I made it and how it goes together soon! It was really hard but really fun to trick the self empty into not knowing anything was different

I really need this in my life. Currently rocking 5 dogs...4 long-haired. Any STLs/3MFs would be SUPER appreciated.

I can get them organized and uploaded tonight. Some of the parts had several revisions so I need to make sure they're all the correct versions so it fits together correctly. I added my Prusa Printer profile in the description so check back later and it should be uploaded!

I guess you could get it hooked up to a central vac as well then.
@AnIdiotwithaSubaru2 жыл бұрын
Central vacs tend to not have quite as much suction as the high-power motor in the base. The j7+ needs a lot of suction power to clear the Roombas bin out completely. It would be hard to trigger the vac as its only 120v ac power for the motor and not a digital or analog signal. You'd have to reverse engineer the board most likely

@@AnIdiotwithaSubaru I have a few dysons(old and new cordless sticks, and a plug in unit) and a good central vac will always have more suction. Also the central vac has a low voltage control wire so when you plug the hose into one of the outlets, it turns it on. Just a simple relay could control it.
@AnIdiotwithaSubaru2 жыл бұрын
@@lsdave yeah absoutely! thats kinda what i was thinking with the analog thing. The only central vac i used in my life was a total pos so I'm definitely bias hahah. The adapter for the centeral vac would just need a tee for the suction sample tube (the clear silicone tube) to let the clean base know if its achieved enough suction power to clean it out.

How about STL files as well? I just began using an S9+ and have central vac outlets. Would love to make a similar adapter for the central vac. No FLA printer but do have larger volume resin printer.

www.printables.com/model/118716-roomba-j7-conversion-to-dyson-ball-animal-2-dust-b This is fundamentally incompatible with the S9+ however I am looking to add support for it soon. I just need to find a used S9 on eBay for a reasonable price.

I have uploaded the design to prusaprinters which you can find the description! :) Due to MakerBot/thingiverse stealing affiliate link money from it's users, it's massively insecure website, stl scalping bots, and forced advertising, my new designs will no longer be uploaded to thingiverse. (Not the designs I care about anyway) The detailed assembly video will be out hopefully within the week! Glad you enjoyed the video
