To be fair, thats kinda what the original localizers in the mid 2000s tried to do with the series, and why it didn't take off in the west. It wasn't until the devs made Yakuza 0, a game they explicitly made to try and get the US to see what was so great about the series, and also handled the localization more directly, that the series finally popped off here, but that bad rep the shitty 2000s localizers gave the series is still stinking about a bit.
