Idea: put security cameras around the wyvern trench in all of the areas where eggs can spawn that way you can check every nest really fast without risking dying

Many creatures have hidden abilities if you look at the Utility section on gamepedia it tells you everything the creature can do. Like mesopithecus can unlock doors and Iguanodons can seed fruit there are a lot of them

Going into scorched earth with this tactic using a ghille set (even just a primitive set) and cactus broth, would make it incredibly trivial to actually get your hands on a wyvern egg. Then it's as easy as storing the egg in a fridge for safe keeping while you get milk for the eventual-infant, which would then be considerably more difficult than getting the egg itself by comparison.

When running from the wyverns, you dont need mammoths or brontos around to distract them. Pacers work as well, which there are plenty in that area of the desert, by the wyvern area.

One thing i did that might be fun is a Mutated Chalicotherium Army. The ones i took only had 2 health mutations and i took them against the Megapithicus and using those actually made the Megapithicus challenging. SO if you ever want to have the Megapithicus give you a challenge, use a Chalico army

The oviraptor increases the speed in which other dinos lay eggs and I think it also decreases the time needed between nearby dinos mating so I tend to use them a lot

You can also use the Shadowmane to easily jump between nests, grab eggs, then stealth and it will instantly drop agro.

The cubbies in the wyvern area used to spawn nests, and might still, but the map has shifted up about 1 wall height so if the old fire/poison/lightning nest spots are still active they are below the mesh now. I ran around with a bred up pack of oviraptors in the swamp before kapros were introduced, they can be fierce lil dudes. Yea i have never seen a wild tropical crystal wyvern egg, even spawned 100 tropical wyverns to saturate the area and not a single egg.

My blood crystal wyverns are that actual black on the main body and wings, with that royalty wing edges, dark blue fins on the back, and a blood red underbelly. Honestly, a solid black one would look really cool too. Or a dark red... My ember wyverns are while, yellow, and the leaf green looks like neon green on them.

Whenever I used ovi's they would aggro the wild dinos around, so I found them pretty useless. I used them a few times to collect dino eggs around the base. It's been a while since I played tho, stuff might have changed.
