Maybe they should buff Magnum Mortar, by increasing the splash damage a little and that the mines don't disappear. Perhaps it got limited nerfed because they thought it would be too annoying with too many mines in a game. I don''t know I usually just use Magnum AP.

for mine missions it is good cause with viking overdrive you enter the enemy base and place like million mines. with miner drone it will have average results.

Stock Magnum is good with Crisis. The first time Mortar came out it was GREAT - especially when drugs were turned OFF, and the mines stayed until you died.

I used to use Magnum a lot when it first came out because I wanted to try mastering it. When it came out, it already had elevation but you couldn't turn left or right. So one thing I always did was I found a good spot to camp and initially did a few test shots. These shots would be fired at 100% always but at different elevation angles. Once I find the perfect angle, it was just spamming after that. But now with the auto aim update, it actually works a lot better. So I just 100% the power and then just adjust the angle till I can get the aiming arrow on the enemy tank. Straightforward shots are easy but getting a tricky angle doesnt always work.

Personally i have mastered magnum and the auto aim only messed me up. after using magnum( I use ap magnum) its just an instinct you know when to release or how far to rock back or forth.

here 🖐 I'm using this augment and for me, it is the best Magnum augment Ill explain : So this augment might not be good in some maps and MM battles. but it's absolutely Best at pro battles where battle itself does not allow any other tanks to use supplies. nobody else can place a mine but you. i dont even hit tanks with magnum itself just place mines on some places where enemies attack and it works perfectly. try guys it's fun. because not everybody knows abaout this augment and they surprised when they see a mine while supplies are deactivated for everybody. whole chat will be like " how do you place mines" "damn i hate these mines" " who the hell is the miner" lol xD try it xD

Magnum should have a way to limit the shot's power, firing button would work like railgun... you press it charges and it fires by itself when the charge up is done. [ example: i set the power to 50% even if i hold it down as much as possible the power will just go to that 50% ] It could be a crystal augment, can set power limit at ease, stats could be: the splash damage is 25% stronger with 25% larger radius at the cost of -20% direct hit damage and 15% longer reload.

When I saw the title "The Worst Augment" I thought it would be Sledgehammer Rounds for Thunder. xD At least Mortar has practical range and damage, you just really need to aim well. With Sledgehammer though, you have worse range than an Isida and deal self damage if you're within maximum range.

if you're asking about the elevation, Z, X C is the button for down, up and reset the elevation. you can only play like this effectively if you know how to use keyboard control mode

I'm a pro at Magnum, but the mortar aug I think has a different power so I just can't be bothered learning a second aiming, especially since it sucks anyways...
