Thank you for your beautiful comments. They mean more than you will ever know. To all those going through their own battles, keep fighting. Resilience is built in hardship and the hard runs🏃🏼♀️➡️🏃🏿♀️➡️ it’s the S&C of the mind. Happy running xx

Hello @heatherhartleyruns! I went through a really difficult time late last year/ early this year. Massive uncertainty and big mental health challenges. What got me through it (.. besides awesome family and friends) was prioritising running. I've been running now for around 4 years. It's like it became a matter of survival.. right through the hot Australian summer.. i didn't care what state i was in - just get the hell out there and go as hard as i could. Running was my medicine and my escape. Things are now getting better. And i still run .. It's awesome 👍 thank you for your story.

@@rossbuchanan1060thanks for sharing your story. Glad you’ve found what works for you, happy running onwards and upwards. I’m very envious of your summer and scenery!! I’ll soon be running looking like someone about to embark on a polar ice exploration!! I wasn’t a runner when I visited Australia 🇦🇺, id love to run there now.

I too have found running to be some of the best medicine for my own PTSD from Afghanistan. This is a great interview

Up until Heather mentioned the MK marathon i was watching thinking i recognised her, assuming it was from the TV or another pod etc. No i remember seeing her atbthe race, she was about 5minutes ahead of me! Such an amazing story so glad she found running again!

Did I see you by the last water point? Id just heard someone in the crowd saying how easy it should be because MK is flat and we were sharing a laugh about how the organisers had found every bloody hill in MK!!

Here you go genius. de·fuse [dəˈfyo͞oz] verb remove the fuse from (an explosive device) in order to prevent it from exploding: "explosives specialists tried to defuse the grenade"

DEFUSE IS THE APPROPRIATE WORD.

Hi Michael, we'd really like to think we have something for everyone here and try to share stories and tips from a wide range of abilities. And even when it's from runners who are perhaps faster, that all runners can take something from the tips and experiences. I think you'll enjoy the video with Tom we published last night - Tom is at a similar pace to you. Let us know what you think! kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWO9oXdplNCCkNU
