We thought our daughter had trisomy 18. We were given the option of aborting the fetus. We said No way!! Turns out our daughter is completely normal. So glad we chose life.

Amniocentesis said my nephew had Down’s syndrome . He is 26 years old now and perfectly fine.

What is normal any way? I truly wish my sick baby 32 yrs ago lived but he did not. The heart defect he had the Doctors thought because of his length of 18 inches and short arms he had Down syndrome. We. Did not care we wanted him to live sadly at 42 minutes old he passed away. I never got to see him alive. I had an emergency C-section and under general anesthesia. Turns out he had no chromosome disorder. All we can do is love the babies we are giving. No matter how long or short of a life they live!

those babies and further children are all of them like looking to on of their parents, exactly as all the other children, all of them has also a particularitie, more or less, due to the chromosomes, but they are unique as all the children, living difficulties and joys. their life will be unique as well, that is why parents must be so confident,
