I feel like Rare beauty is one of the “celebrity” brands that are done right. It’s makeup oriented. I like that it’s not linked to Selena’s name. The releases seem thought out and cohesive. The brand has an identity of its own. I give it a lot more credit than other celeb brands that feel like a cash grab.

I was watching a Lauren Mae Beauty video where she talked about wanting to use her eyeshadow palettes more and someone in the comments said that they put a little piece of painter's tape on the back of their palettes and just make a mark every time they use it....and I have done the same and LOVE IT!!! I don't know, I love the idea of seeing how much I used everything at the end of the year, and it encourages you to really rotate through your stuff.

Nicole it works for me and I’m a 110 in Huda a 1.25 in Nars and a mix between 00N and 0N in Dior. In MAC I’m a NW15. Hope that helps.

Nicole, I also bought the Rare Beauty mascara based on Sam’s recommendation and I’m obsessed with it!! I love that it doesn’t smudge and it gives me such great volume! My sister was afraid the lightest shade of the Dior powder no powder would be too dark and I told her just get it you will love it as much as I do. She purchased the lightest shade and it’s perfect for her and she is very fair!! She LOVES IT! Hope that helps you ☺️

I would love to see some “hydrating but coverage” recommendations - especially now that you’re in a drier climate! I’m having a hard time with adjusting to my skin texture changing, I used to be so oily now I’m combo leaning dry 😂😂😂 half my complexion products don’t look nearly as good as they did 😅😅😅

So, I know you’re just wanting to know 😉😉😉, Huda beauty Mercury retrograde is on sale at Sephora. The gold shades in this palette, so pretty! And the shade Nebula, my favorite! I like using it as a topper just lightly dabbed on but it can be built up to be more opaque.

Ha, that it cosmetics brow power pencil, I got that a long time ago in an iPad bag. So it was a few years ago. Last fall I ran out of whatever I was using so I pulled out that it cosmetics brow power in universal taupe. Oh my gosh I can’t believe how much I loved it! And I had a deluxe size and I can’t believe I haven’t run out yet! Definitely will repurchase, it’s so good!

I have an idea! Get a friend from your complex to help you try on foundations/eyeshadows that you already have, without looking at the brand, to see if you can recognize them! All six of the shades in the Bridgerton palette contain Carmine…..however, that’s the only shade that contains “Red 30 Lake”. However, I do not know the concentration of carmine in each shadow. In some others, it is listed earlier, suggesting others may contain more, whereas the one that bothered your eyes listed it as the last ingredient. Also, carmine can come from different sources (it’s a crushed part of some female bugs, and there are a few different bugs making this available). I do not know if they used the same bug, or a combination of crushed bug parts in the carmine of each shadow. But, yes, eye irritation is a very common side effect of carmine. Ok. Bye.

This is such a great ranking video Sam!! I purchased the new NARS foundation in the same shade as you after your review and it is so BEAUTIFUL!! I feel so good wearing it. My birthday was on the 3rd and I received some Sephora gift cards so I purchased the new Hourglass primer and holy BLURRING it’s AMAZING and pairs so well with the NARS foundation! I was in Ulta last week and Colourpop released a new palette called ColourPop's Of Quartz Pressed Powder Palette and it’s gorgeous! I think the Rare Beauty blush brush only was sent out in PR. I want to get it so bad but it says “coming soon” on their website. I’m going to get the Rare Beauty blush you’re wearing, the Bronzer stick, the powder brush, definitely the It Cosmetics eyebrow pencil. Love the Rare Beauty brush and powder recommendation. Never sure abt their products after trying the last ones and not happy with the shades. The product shades didn't match the swatch on the box. The swatch was a better fit with my skin tone. The product was too dark. I keep saying I looked like a frog w/ a tan. The colourpop palette is beautiful. Would be one for valentines or galentines.

I did not like the Dior no powder, it’s one of the worse powders I ever used. Charlotte Tilbury powder is my holy grail. Everyone has different skin preferences the only way to know is to try things yourself, I enjoy Samantha’s content, eye look is beautiful

When I've used gripping primers I feel like my sponge and the primer fight over the foundation or something. I usually apply foundation with a brush and then smooth it over with a sponge and the sponge picks the foundation up from a sticky primer. It's so weird.

I did not like the Huda beauty new nude palette. But, I did love Mercury retrograde and naughty nude! I do love rose Quartz, definitely my favorite of all of them. (I did not try desert dusk or the first one). If I’d rank them best to least fave: ok never mind, I like rose Quartz best and tie between Mercury retrograde and Naughty Nude. New nudes I never use.

Most of the rare products have been hot garbage for me but they have some gems so I continue trying them. I've never used a worse foundation honest to God it put little chunks all over like dry skin clumps all over. Idk wtf happened with it but if you watch Teresa is dead video on it, I had the same experience. I love the foundation and concealer brushes but they do not hold up long. Idk it's a very all over the place brand for me.
