@@ogdavid96when it comes to confident women existing, expect comments to be pure trash. Megan thee Stallion & Nicki come to mind immediately. Anything made by women will be immediately hated by the majority of the community because of misogyny and so many people refuse to believe or acknowledge it. The trash comments are literally sexism 🤷🏽♀️ and that's absolutely NOT an exaggeration just because I'm "making myself a victim" or whatever the fuck dudes try to say when they think women as A WHOLE are just making shit up.

I love that you said this is more like "back to basics" because it's a medly of what has been created by the black artists throughout history, rather than something wholely different even though yes she does have her own style.

Doechii has two EPs, this concert is from her new mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal. She is NOT an overnight success, she's been on her grind. Doechii plans on releasing her official album in 2025.

The song 'Boom Bap' refers to artists who throw anything out on the air to get a hit.

I absolutely love how the guitars emphasize the mood and keep the beat with the guitar during Bullfrog. Dark and sinister as fuck.

Boom bap is actually such a funny song because she's speaking on people (TDE where she's signed) trying to put her music in a box especially since she can sing too and has given us more rnb sounding songs like "what it is hoe...", and them pretty much telling her to "rap" and she is poking fun at it saying stuff like "damn I can't sing a little bit" and asking "them" to tell her what her music is then coz everyone gets it, her artistry that is, but they don't. She's letting everyone know her music is a little bit of everything and that she is everything as an artist as she says in the song. People whose critic of that song is that she is just making a bunch of noises or that it isn't rap, are just proving the point that she was making in the song. (FYI boom bap rap is actually a subgenre of hip hop from the 1980s-1990s, which to me makes this song even more genius) Sorry for the long comment😅😂

The amount of people who think she's just copying Nicki have no idea that there's a difference between being inspired and copying. People can tell she's been inspired by Lauryn Hill but I haven't seen any "copying" comments, yet she growls a couple times because that's what she feels like doing and now she's copying. You called it an homage and it could be, but it can also be her style, growling isn't exclusive to Nicki.

@@stormyweather4898 It's funny how people can be so loud and wrong. No one does credible research before mouthing off nonsense anymore. No gun to your head. Nobody forcing you to watch. Move along. And whether she was trans or not, this is a no hate channel. Goodbye.

She was saying the guy she was dating is gay, that's it. And yeah that line bothers me either way, cuz my interpretation was the same as you and that shit isn't okay. She's telling her story bluntly, and she's stating a fact of what happened in that relationship.

@@bhelliom3 Doechii has explained that lyric and said that she would never have a problem if she knew he liked men too, since she is bisexual after all and it wouldn't make sense for her to discourage the same thing that she is. But it was the fact that he kept it a secret and she not only had to find out he was cheating BUT that he was also DL as well.
