Pretty amazing, it’s pretty epic. What you did there with chopping it up to make it like an instrument with all the nuances.

When you said, “I just threw a little crunchy sounds into it for texture”. as I just took a master class on fast-forward and out comes pop tarts. just casually throwing pro moves on everything like it’s nothing, I feel as if your gamifying music in your own way which is a good thing and you make it look easy. Lightning fast skills and smooth noodling is your strength, I love the water splash stuff that you sampled to add texture. you may be one of the people who are actually faster on the MPC than you are in a DAW.

Glad you enjoyed it! And don't let the perceived speed throw you off, I do go into these videos prepared, often showing off the beat I already made. I can work fast on the devices I know well (and you can too!) but usually not THAT fast.

@@BeatGoblin OK right I guess that makes more sense. I’ve really been in enjoying the MPC stuff and Roland mk2 stuff, those are what I like most on your channel.

This is a lot of fun. I sample myself off of my RC-505 with the Circuit Rhythm for a pared down screenless/live version of this. Auto chop on Rhythm is nice if you can play your parts in-time. It's a relaxing workflow.

What method did you use to get your files over in to reaper? They said Jura was meant to be standalone but I use it in my DAW also. It’s a beautiful synth. Thanks for sharing and nice commentary.

It's also a VST plugin, so I just installed it on my computer no problem. And yeah even though the world maybe didn't need another Juno emulator, I'm having a great time with it. Glad you enjoyed the video!

@@BeatGoblin me too, I just made a nice arpeggiated chord progression out of a pluck sound in the arp tab inside note repeat.

People tend to be way too worried about sampling. You will typically only get sued for sampling if there is something to gain from it by the other party. Which means by then, you've likely made a breakthrough and your track has generated a massive audience. 99,5% of the bedroom producers never, ever get to that point. But if you do, you simply comply and surrender any income from that track, because now you have made enough name for yourself to start making money on the next track. Better ask forgiveness than permission when it comes to sampling when you're still a nobody. At that stage, it's not really worth the hassle.

100% facts! KZbin is super full of copyright samples like amen and other stuff from obscure 90's sampling cds. noone cares if noone sues you and as u said, better to give away some of the profit and when u get bigger, clearing is easier.

Fair enough, I mostly just liked the idea, and the thought process of staying completely in the clear is how I arrived there

@@BeatGoblin Even if you want to completely avoid any legal trouble there's no reason really from a business POV (artistically, it's a different case) to spend all that money prematurely on clearance. More often than not, these clearance processes start only after the release, especially with upcoming artists. It's common business really.
