You're still the master, Andrew. My Bel Canto arrived last month after waiting 13 months, which included a five month delay due to the manufacturing issues that you mentioned. I went for the Noir edition because I thought it would best offset the mechanical components on the dial side. It is an absolute stunner. The proportions and placement of the components are immaculate, and the "ding" is a beautifully clear D note. Although I was skeptical of the bracelet, I got it because I almost always go with the bracelet option. After getting the watch and trying it on a strap, I now think that the bracelet is a better choice because of the girth of the watch. in any event, it now is an instant heirloom.

I am in the order que for a Noir Bel Canto. I ordered it for many reasons, not the least of which was to support out of the ordinary innovative affordable watchmaking at a high degree of technological expertise. I never even thought of acquiring a CW watch before until the Bel Canto came around. I have on a Habring2 Felix so I am a believer in the idea that relatively affordable horology can still be noteworthy horology. There is a wealth of in-house expertise at CW in the form of Frank Stelzer, CW’s technical director, and Mssrs. Bader and Brackfield. CW did not hesitate to seek parts and engineering input when required from “big gun” external sources like Synergies Horologeres when required. There is a great market for affordable specialty horology as evidenced by the success of the Bel Canto.

Another AMW gem; you and Britt Pearce (aka the Kirkland Jennie Elle) are the only two watch tubers who regularly make me laugh out loud. As an aficionado of vintage sports watches, my initial reaction to the Bel Canto when it first appeared was that it seemed a bit too deliberately precious ....but saw one in person at Windup in NYC last year and, well, I was wrong. It is indeed a stunning budget gem fit for, say, a proper watch geezer with a discerning eye both on the aesthetics and his bottom line -- and who remains, it seems, thankfully untraumatized by being judged unremarkable through years of UK public schooling. Well done on both counts, Andrew!

It's beautiful. I was devastated to find out that my favourite colour, the Azure blue was sold out, it put me off CW altogether. I feel a certain resentment when I look at all the other colours. They just don't do it for me. I think CW made a mistake there. I mean, lucky you if you got a blue one, but how does that really benefit CW? You're very lucky to have your own custom colour. I'd buy that one in a heartbeat if it were available - not that it will be, of course...

Based on pictures, the green was my choice, but that was unavailable. I did manage to get on the list for the non limited colours, putting a pre-order in Dec 2022. The original delivery date of Summer 2023 flew past but it finally arrived Jan this year. I got the blue dial and do not regret that choice for a second. It's a stunning watch, my third CW, and a highlight of my watch box.

About the video, the macro shots really made the dust shine 😂But I'm sure it caught your eye already and your already working on adressing that moving forward. It’s so strange that CW discontinued the original blue colour dial for the sake of quite controversial pale colours. For me it’s even good though. It makes the watch much less irresistible and helps to save money 😊.

I hold you responsible for my watch affliction. One day I innocently happened upon your initial review of this watch (I blame YT for presenting it to me as well). I thought "how cool", but in my relatively healthy state at the time, I found it to be too expensive to justify. Some time later, I had purchased, among other watches, the Snowflake, the Lunockhod, the Geosphere, and had placed an order for the Bel Canto on the bracelet, all reviewed by you, damn you! Well over a year later, I am still waiting for the Bel Canto. That red dial is all yours. I won't fight you for it. Kidding, but I chose the purple color in part because it goes with the color of the jewels. Though I have not yet held one, I will presume that I would prefer a greater contrast between the hands and the bridge lying directly behind them. I am greatly looking forward to finally receiving it. Yeah, thanks a lot for your reviews... for which I nearly always hit Like.

First off I'm EXTREMELY jealous. That aside I compellingly agree, the Bel Canto doesn't quite look right on the titanium bracelet. Plus the case is grade 5 and the bracelet grade 2. This means they don't quite match in hue and the bracelet will scratch much easier than the case. Because of this I ordered mine with the leather strap as well. It's not my favorite strap, but it's tolerable until I decide which aftermarket option to go with. Now if they only would have fitted it with a deployment clasp instead of a pin buckle. You can't have everything I suppose.

By the time I realised what was going on with the Bel Canto, the blue and green had been and gone and I dont know how I missed your video just before the original launch, it puzzles me to this day? By the time I got in touch the range of new colours were here, although I had narrowed it down to the baby blue or black platine I was just not as struck as I was with the original blue so I wrote almost the same letter as you to customer service, I even said, if one of the blue platines may have fell down the back of a work bench I would be ok with that, I have to admit I did find it kind of comforting that I got a flat NO, in response, in the sense that they took the limited edition thing seriously. I was very surprised and delighted however when I was contacted to say there had been a cancelled order on a Verde Green and would I be interested, Hell yes was my response. I'm now the proud owner of a Green Bel Canto and a Twelve in titanium Astral blue dial with black rubber strap, another of your recommendations If I remember correctly.

I almost bought the blue dial one back when it was available. I changed my mind when I saw the unacceptable accuracy specs at +/- 20 seconds per day. I didn't want to adjust my watch every few days. Now, even if I want the watch, I can't get myself to like any of the current colors they are offering. The blue dial was the only one I liked.

I'm with you. I want the original blue. I've tried to want one in the subsequent colors but none of them do it for me. The azzurro was perfect. 😢 But the red is nice. I could do the red.
