Not that I know much about this style of music but from what I gather it certainly rocked the house in the middle of the Twentieth century. Within a minute or so of listening to this solid though unspectacular musicianship back up Megg I was swinging to the beat and to her vocal interpretation. It put me in a good mood. Billie Holiday kept creeping up into my subconcious, though, as if there was a wild pairing here and there, a coming together of voices. Very enjoyable. I read the other comments and in many of them the Holiday allusion seems to coincide with my own reflections.

Wow! This ranks up there with the Mildred Bailey and Billie Holiday versions. Megg's interpretation is nuanced and elegant. Her mic is absolutely terrible, however. It's so bad, it's like a cartoon. The "reveal" on the last few lines is pathetic.
