Disagree when you say Erik ten hag would be better at implementing a “Controlled build up, possession based side that also has fast counter attacking principles” Than Roberto De Zebri, as De Zebri has proven that statement to be false the past two seasons, he might not get the same level as success but he’s also working with much less talented level of players. Also whether he would be a better overall manager than ETH is a different conversation but this statement is factually false just by looking at the two teams playing.

Here's my biggest "but what if" point. *What if Ten Hag doesn't want to continue under the INEOS structure being put in place?* Think about it for a bit. - Ten Hag is in his last year of contract. - English media has been on his case from day one. - The team is filled with divas who leak inside information to the media every single week. - Ten Hag had an agreement with the Glazer's that he would have veto right on player signings, something he will *NOT* have anymore. - INEOS restructuring of Man United's management means Ten Hag will be a overqualified head coach, with Berrada and Ashworth being in charge of many of the traditional manager duties. - Ten Hag has had multiple clubs wanting his signature before- and even now after his time at Man United. Ten Hag strikes me as a control freak, detail oriented and stubborn manager that won't take arguments against him lightly. In the INEOS structure he has to cooperate with two other people on things like player signings, this would be a *MASSIVE* change to what Ten Hag has been working with. I find it more and more likely that it's Ten Hag who's stalling the contract renewal, we know there's been discussions between Ten Hag's agent and INEOS about the contract situation. INEOS have come to United to make changes, if Ten Hag doesn't agree with those changes then, I'm not even sorry, he has to go.

Fun Fact about Ten Hag: his 2018/19 season at Ajax his team scored 175 goals in all competition, 119 goals in the league form 34 games. He also managed to find his way to 3 league titles and a total of 8 silverware in his last 7 seasons morale of the story, the guy knows what he is doing so KEEP HIM

Facts season 23/24: 1. FA Cup, Liverpool and Coventry outclassed MU. 2. Champions league, last in the poule. 3. Premier League, finished 8th position. Conclusion: EtH's performance doesn't match the highest ambition from INEOS. Action: exit. Fun fact 1: almost the entire season EtH played with a dysfunctional attack line, because of the playing style with two inverted wingers who had close to zero added value. Fun fact 2: the goalkeeper is not a natural goalkeeper, since he's out of position most of the time. The guy's an athletic football player with some goal keeper reflexes. Fun fact 3: 45 minutes of good football during an entire season is good for the majority population over here to continue with this coach. LOL. Losers.

It's typical and not at all surprising, it's the back lash from the Fergie era. The media & bbc especially couldn't handle United paying the fine weekly of £10,000 & Fergie refusing to speak on interview on MOTD instead sending Mike Phelan out each week. Were talking about The Biggest most Famous, most well supported football institution on the planet bar none. As a result the media TV radio & written press do all they can to tear strips off the famous MAN UTD. They hate us because we're a loved world wide institution that simply can never be overtaken in the support & admiration stakes by any other sporting team, it's just that simple. So if after just two yrs the media can play a major part in United having to begin another new project by virtue of losing another manager who struggles to make their mark with the spectre of the greatest Premiership manager in the back ground bringing added pressure to the role. This will serve to provide the gutter press with more & more colum inches, plus TV & radio programming laden with everything Man U. It literally pays their wages. It's what infuriated Sir Alex so much, these people were making a living off of the name of this Iconic club & had the audacity to try to embarrass Fergie on press conferences, over any under par performances. This is why he banned many from old Trafford until they were forced to respectfully behave & not bite so spitefully the hand that feeds. Things will never change, I for one wouldn't want it to either, as long as those that hate Uniteds Continued success keep trying to get our managers sacked when In the middle of a project, it's reason enough to make me smile knowing how United Succsess infuriates our detractors. Simply because, Were the FAMOUS MAN UNITED!!

Here's one thing I'd like to say: I think we are ASSUMING that the INEOS team has it all put together and are actually ready for this transfer window, and ready for next season. I don't think that they are. Over the past 5 months United has brought in an entirely new hierarchy. I doubt they have a solid transfer policy. I doubt they have a solid game model. I doubt they have a 5 year project. I doubt they have a clear direction. I'm sure they have some ideas but I don't think they have all their ducks in a row. Why does this matter? Because it begs asking why we should be thinking of sacking Ten Hag with no clear direction to move in. I think let's continue with next season's plans and leave the hierarchy time to build out the so called project. If the project doesn't work with Ten Hag in it, then replace him at the end of next year.

Sacking the manager is just kicking the stone down the road. We have to address the bigger problems, like culture and player power at some point. Removing Ten Hag is like putting a plaster on an axe wound. For longer term success there will be some waves we'll need to ride. The foundations are there, we need to support Ten Hag to build on them, get rid of the high earning drama queens and we'll be fine. No more rebuilts with new managers, we've had enough of them over the past 11 years.

With the young players coming through, EtH is the best possible manager for our club, he is slowly introducing the academy graduates to the first team. We have to accept that there was a drop in quality in our forward players compared to last season, in this season alone, Garnacho had several chances to either cut back or square it to a runner but he always shot (as expected since he is young man learning the trade) and thus never took those opportunities. Give that man a chance and he will turn this team for the better, it is unfortunate that we had to go through those situations last season

I've seen the problems he's been faced with and the questionable decisions he's made at time. I've also seen all the good he's done, the results he showed last year were truly impressive and it's no coincidence or luck that so many youth players are breaking through under his guidance. Probably best would be to keep ten Hag for the last year of his contract and view how McKenna develops in his first year in the top-flight. Some thoughts on the current candidates - Poch: will turn Man Utd into a consistent top-three team again playing lovely football. Man Utd will challenge for the FA Cup, Champions League and EPL. However, Man Utd will not win any of the trophies, and come up short in the semi-finals and perhaps finals regularly. Has history of stumbling tactically against the very best tacticians in the game, hence the lack of trophies compared to his peers. - Tuchel: will do well for the first 1-2 seasons due to tactical astuteness and perhaps even lead Man Utd far in the cup competitions. However, man management skills will ensure that he will not last more than 2 seasons at Man Utd. -McKenna: has a very high-ceiling as a manager, comparable with Alonso, Motta, Amorim. Based on his achievements, age, and tactical awareness. A risk of course for a club of Man Utd's stature. But look at what Alonso has done with Bayer. ;-) Give McKenna a season in the EPL with Ipswich and plunge for him long-term!

I'm still 50/50 on EtH tbh. There's valid reasons for sticking and sacking him and I don't know if keeping him and letting his final year be run through before letting him leave is a good idea. I'm literally leaving this to INEOS to decide. I'll back whoever they choose. They know a lot more about football than I do plus fan opinion is usually very emotional and reactionary. Just as Sam said, if we lost the final, majority would be calling for the sack. This is why the review is important, the INEOS guys can take a look at and analyse everything objectively before coming to a decision. This is way better than the kind of decisions that were being made under the Glazers. So I hope people back whatever choice they make, whether it be the manager, players etc. We've been waiting to have football people make football decisions at Utd for a long time. Now it's time to let them do that job.

If youre Ten Hag out, youre a social media fan period. No one couldve done much better, he has a vision, players are finally recoverinf and we are ready to make new signings to fill in the gaps. Plus at the end of the day we won 2 Trophies, not even Jose did that. I don’t think it is just injuries that have harmed us, it is squad depth. Remember we were really outplayed by Wolves at the start of the season, with massive gaps in midfield, before injuries affected us. Casemiro and Erikson’s legs had gone, and we had no replacements. We need a top class team AND squad. When the injuries got worse the replacements were not very good. It feels like we have a mountain to climb with our squad, it’ll take time. Give Eric another year under a proper structure.

Based on last Last 1 year performance of ETH as coach, he should go. Many glaringly obvios problems - Getting Antony at 90 M(market price of max 25 M). He was insisting for Antony - When midfield Kovacic, Galagher, Maddison, , McAlister, Mount were available for transfer - he chose Mount. Look at what happened - Kept pushing Antony in side for eternity. From Dec Amad was fit, but in May gave him starts over Antony. Why ? So many fans watching could see the talent in Amad. - Casemiro blunder - Many matches midfield pushed Casemiro. Right from 1st match of this season against Woves, was so obvious, he was unfit/drastically slowed down. - Most matches there looked lack of tactics, understanding. Miserable performance in Champions league - Based on 2 match victories against Liverpool & City, we can't retain him

In my personal opinion, i think his overall performance this season can be summed up into a few parts. 1. Hes had a lot of injuries to deal with, not all but some (key players). 2. As a club (including himself) his first transfer window was very sketchy, but yeilded some great signings Martinez, Casemiro (for most the journey) etc... but there was also shoddy transfer bussiness. Anthony was overpayed for massively! And has become a flop so far since he came over... That was a miatake paying that much, but he was fixated on getting his man, Ajax played on his desperation and walked away laughing from that deal... Mason Mount's life has become a hospital bed and has fell of massively since his earlier days as Chelsea, he was a waste of money and be fit to don the legendary number 7 shirt! Christain Eriksen hasnt been to ba dand has been a good squad, rotational player. Hoijlund came with a hefty price tag as to be expected given his age and potential talent and skill celing. If Hoijlund can achieve this level then he will be in the conversation of some of the United Greats etc, but these things take time and patience. 3. He proved time and time again that he will take the time to nurture, grow and improve young talent and hes been doing it his whole career and will continue to do so. All you have to do is look at your Garnachos, mainoos etc and you will see the improvements made! Its in his footballing philosophy and igraines into his managerial style and tactics. 3 If you take a closer look at his time in Ajax and really study it then you will see (not including the eredivise isnt on the same tier as the premier league and is a easier league in comparison) Getting to a champions league final with a squad of players that he had at disposal and taking into consideration that Ajax are notoriosuly known as a selling club that is a stepping stone to greater things, thats pretty impressive. 4. His style of football, (in my opinion) when they actually turn up is great to watch! Fluent, progressive, stylish, flashy possesion based football. 5. Hes not had the best season this year, we can all admit that with the upmost honesty (questionable tactics/substitutions etc), but given how big Man United are as a footballong institution, it will never be an easy job for anyone, constantly on the eyes of the media, people commenting there opinions and how large there fanbase is! But he should have expected that as that comes with the Territory! 5. So taking all that into consideration and the fact hes one 2 trophies so far into his tenure (so called plastic trophies or not), i think most Mancheater United fans are hust hapy to be getting silverware after such a long period of trophy drought.... 6. I say give him one more season and transfer market to see if he can turn it around, if not then make the decision. 7. Making that decision now, would reset the whole mentality and basically write of the whole past few seasons of work he has put in to the players and the squad, (not to forget he inherited most of that squad and it wasnt his to begin with) so he has to adapt to the circumstances. Hes done some questionable things, but he has also done well in others , considering how toxic the club and the dressing room was when he first took over (all dressing room media leaks etc). 8. Besides from all the candidates that where shown here i have to agree with whats been said, asides from Thomas Tuchel (could have a debate about him), i dont see anyone else coming in and doing a better job with the tools that have been at Ten Hags disposal...

On top of that I think you are blaming him too much for the Antony deal. ETH already wanted him much earlier in the window when he was available for 40 Mil, which was a fair price for his potential and credentials at the time. The board let it become so late which drove the price up plus some terrible negotiating on the boards part, and then it depends how much involvement he had in the discussion at that point.

I would love to see ETH given at least another season to manage and build Manchester United. We have to give him credits for introducing youngsters from the academy to the 1st team. With the amount of injuries sustained by our players and their unavailability to play, it's a bit harsh to criticise ETH on games that we played badly. Maybe the club should look into parts of the trainings on why the players were so susceptible to injuries. I would love to see ETH operates on a fully fit squad next year.

I've had this opinion for a while now. It really isnt worth sacking him for 10m or smth when Ten hag only has an year left anyways. The injury record has been tragic, and there are other places where united needs to focus on as a club. Thus we might as well just give Ten hag another year as a stop gap, see if ten hag can perform when the injuries are better, and then decide at around winter if united should go on with ten hag. That way, we can also have some time to decide on who the most ideal manager is, under a proper football structure. Outside of the emoitional part, there aint much benefit of sacking ten hag now, compared to letting him go next season. And its less likely that sancho would be kept, which I rly dont want

I pick ten Hag to stay for all the reasons you mentioned. The toxic legacy of Ed Woodward, the incompetence of the Glazers and Arnold resulting in a worrying slip in standards, the terrible injury problems, the Sancho/Greenwood mess, the lack of replacement for a back up striker when Greenwood left, and thats just the internal issues. All in it was a lack of a proper infrastructure for ten Hag to work under. In fact, he should be applauded for acheiving anything working under such a hostile environment. Lastly, the lack of a suitable candidate to replace ten Hag. None of them really excites me.

I still think the new owners will give ETH at least one season under the new setup. They said a few months ago that no manager since Fergie has been working under an ideal environment. ETH has reached 3 finals under the current environment (winning two of them!) so I feel he will do even better under a much better set up behind him.
