Hey Mike hope your doing ok mate? Just watched this and thought what is going on, went to the other video and located some comments...... Let me just say it was Mike who inspired me to start uploading abandoned house videos to KZbin back in Jan 2018 after I watched several of his videos. I immediately found them interesting and never felt they lacked commentary or detail. Mike was also my very first subscriber and recommended me via his channel which help me get a kick start in to the Urbex world so I have total respect for Mike and his journey. I had a background in making videos with paranormal stuff so my style turned pretty quickly to edits and commentary which keeps me inspired enough to keep doing them. I have found that due to me uploading every week consistently for nearly 4 years now that has held me in good stead rather than anything else. When KZbin push your video out there due to these reasons more audience than your own subscribers will be recommended your videos thus views out numbering your subs. I never get drawn in to drama but I felt I needed to give all you loyal fans of Urbex my take on this and that Mike paved the way for pretty much all the Aussie Urbexers out there! Cheers Mike I hope your in good spirits and your health is strong. :-)

I remember a few guys who got together to play the old brass band and it was not so much the being heard but the enjoyment of doing it. I think it is this innocence of being that one enjoyed but such became overshadowed in later years as members began to thin. The essence and mood changed to constantly discussing ‘how do we save the band?’ or ‘how do we get more members?’ Somehow the innocence and original feeling became changed or lost to that of business. What I hear from you today is you did something because you enjoyed it and being that you found a way of sharing your joy with others. I’m old and confined living alone and there’s a shadow creeping across NSW and likely my home once deserted will become yet another explorers discovery…

You are right! It is your channel and whatever you share it’s your choice. I went thru the Whipple Procedure back in 2009 for pancreatic cancer followed by chemo. Surgery and chemo really wiped me out. Everything you accomplished while having surgery and chemo, and taking care of your son, just wow! I’d been taking care of my mother who had a disastrous thyroid surgery and after my surgery our youngest daughter took over setting up the concha water machine every night since I couldn’t. I had surgery the day after my 65th birthday, and it takes a lot out of a person. Not just physically either. I’ve enjoyed all your content for years now and you telling stories and sharing memories sounds interesting

I never knew how the subscriber and views worked. Thank you for that info. Algorithms? That is just a lie trying to confuse and manipulate numbers. I always get excited when your notifications come up, i love them and they are the top of my list. My husband loves them since I introduction him to them. You said “it’s my channel and I can do what I want” please keep that in mind and actually it is your subscribers channel to so keep going as you have loyal watchers and we feel you are a true friend. My favourite is the one you did recently with all those strange and beautiful monuments. I know they are not called that but i have forgotten. I do watch your videos quite a few times each as I find them very relaxing. The one’s I watch the most are when you are driving around as I am the passenger. Now let’s get to the “People can’t see what you are copeing with”. If you break a leg you have a cast they can see it, if you are vomiting and turning green people can see it but they can’t SEE the turmoil of other illnesses going on inside the body. If someone says something like “Go home and sober up love”. when I am out shopping I hand them a card that says F.A.S.T. as vertigo is one of my most noticeable problems after having a stroke. I have had 3 strokes and I do not have the usual after effects most stroke victims have. The only time I don’t have vertigo is when I am travelling in a car and it helps just watching your videos of driving around. Usually when they look at the card they say their sorry and I usually say “Me to”. People who say negative things about someone have nothing positive to say about themselves. Like you I have planned my funeral and I am not actually having a funeral. If a funeral is held all my assets go to a names charity. .

Good on you Tina. 👍🏼 I have a young friend (57) who had a stroke ten years ago and watched her learn everything again from scratch. This great-grandmother of 19 (young adults to toddlers) has had Encephalomyelitis since I was in my early twenties, so I have days on which I look drunk too. One of my neighbours commented to another that I “seemed a nice woman but it was a pity that I drank so much”! I guess they’re leaving someone else in peace when they’re judging me. Michael is a gem and it’s a shame that people don’t look at all his videos. Every one of them is very watchable and enjoyable, in my humble opinion.

Hey Mike….If a viewer has watched your channel for a while, they know about your situation and IMHO, it makes your videos a true labor of love. There are a lot of content providers churning out videos for the monetization whereas your videos are done from the point of view of a true explorer and inquisitive mind. Not taking away from others, just pointing out that at least to me, your videos are different - like having a friend in Oz sending out a video showing us an adventure we weren’t able to physically attend. You certainly shouldn’t feel like you should have to justify yourself. The appeal of KZbin is the diversity of styles and personalities of the Channels. Also some people lack the skills in delivering creative criticism and can come across as blunt or negative even if their intentions were well meant. I think it's a part of coming to terms with your own mortality, making peace with yourself and with people/situations from your past so you can let go and live the rest of your life in peace. Hi I truly think it would be a GREAT idea to make videos of your life. It would be very good for family and friends to hear what early life was like for you and what you went through. We all have different views and memories. It would also be a great memorial to yourself. I have thought of doing something similar. Love you and your videos. The world was sooo very different then.

Your doing the best you can with your life and there are many of us who really do appreciate your videos and your outlook on life as positive as it can be given your situation. I would personally love to hear your memories of your life! You would be surprised how healing it could be for you and also for people who have been though similar. You seem like such a down to earth genuine person. I am from your area but have lived in qld for almost 3 years now, desperately trying to come home but the prices of properties there are out of our reach and its very depressing 😢 but any time I watch your vids it just makes me feel like I'm home 🏡 keep up the great things you do! You dont need to explain anything to any of us. Your life is yours and personnel and private to you. Your videos are great and Im learning alot about your country from my friends in Australia and you. The out back would scare me with the snakes and deadly spiders but love hearing about it. I will probably never get to visit your country but thru your eyes. You are a wonderful man, you've been through alot medically plus you take in a foster child with medical needs also. Bless you, young man. Your fans will always be here for you and who cares about negetive people. My friends and I preach positivity no negative energy in our lives. I may not comment on all your videos but I always watch them and love them all and it doesn't matter to me weather you talk or not. Keep doing what you love to do and forget what others tell you should do because as you say it's your channel.

I think those of us who have followed you for awhile understood most of this, but newer people may not have known the backstory. Still, you probably shouldn't even have had to say it. People should either like and subscribe, or move on. As for what you show in your vids, you do what works for you. I know I really enjoy the abandoned home vids, the cemetery vists... anything that shows me a bit more of what your part of the world looks like. But, I completely understand you have a lot on your plate. If it's easier and somewhat cathartic for you to shoot vids and tell us about your early years, do that. If you want to put on a wig and tell a story, do that. Like you said, it's your channel. It just sucks that quality of content does not equal monitization. You put more heart and soul into your vids than the mostly garbage vids racking up lots of views and you deserve a lot more. At the very least, you can be proud of your content. I will and have watched anything you put out there. As someone who thinks of you as a friend who I've never seen face to face, I would love to know more about you. I can understand the no time problems, having a autistic son myself and having to deal with all of the problems and medical stuff of my husbands kidney failure then the end of life planning. Its been two months since he passed and things are just starting to slow down some. I would have loved having someone to talk to and spill my guts with so when you want to do that, have at it cause it is your channel and we are here for you.
