I’d recommend generating awareness that gets people to your website and then have your own chatbot greet people in a way that makes them want one for themselves. If it can push people to schedule a free consultation, they’re already coming in because of what you’re selling, and then it sells itself to that audience.

Hey there Brock. I'm a frequent viewer of your channel, matter of fact, I deleted my old junk-channel on the start of August and created this one for one single purpose. An Automation Agency. I really appreciate the work you do, your channel is completely unique within the AI Automation Niche and shines not only because of your transparency, but also because you started documenting your journey from zero. You're not someone who pushes out hundreds of KZbin Videos just to milk the topic out. And you're definitely not someone who acts like he has an agency and teaches us about the topic while he has no agency. (There is a pretty huge YTer within the niche -no, not Liam Ottley-, who I suspect of doing that after digging a little bit. He hasn't mentioned any of his websites until he blew up because of AI Automation. And suddenly he had multiple domains with his services, which had no real traffic yet and the domain-reg was also < 1 year.) I'm drifting off already... But what I want to say: You're none of these, you're literally one of us and since we all can relate so well, we have that connection to you that we don't associate with the bigger players in the game. Same boat and same sh't we all have to go through. And because of that, I want to share my story, too. More as a memoir, but keep reading if you're interested. ----------------------------------- I am a 20-year-old from Germany who started on the beginning of August 2023. AI Automation peaked my interest, because I've always been somewhat tech-oriented and because I just knew from the beginning: That's a business-model that can be successful and really grow over time. I don't look at chatbots as the thing I want to sell, the chatbots are just a source of the data-input. A pretty good source. I see my service purely as “automating processes”. Since starting the journey, I have posted regularly on LinkedIn and reached an audience of 3.300 people with 10 posts so far. If you don't do this: I can only recommend it. It boosts your credibility and since it is 50% automated anyway for me, I am able to generate posts for the whole week within a time span of 2-4 hours. I carefully select these posts to be about AI, many are taken from YT are being converted from mp3 to text and then into a post with the specified parameters how I want the posts to look like. Find out how to do it efficient and set up systems for that! Furthermore, I am also doing LinkedIn-Outreach. It is currently 95% of my outreach-program. When starting, I was also E-Mail messaging American companies that I have found through Google Maps, but realized really fast that this is the most inefficient way to go about that (for me!). If you want the exact numbers: About 100 total Messages, 1 decline, 1 mental breakdown that he doesn't understand how I found his email and that I need to leave him alone. The stats didn't look too good, and that's when I took LinkedIn-Outreach serious. The most important rule: Be f##king human. YES create scripts that you want to follow, but don't push the conversation that far, that it falls over! show emotions, bond over things, and gain trust that you are a real human and not some bot. way too many are writing within the first connect-message "hey I've got a bot, wanna test it out?". They're going to think you're spam and report you. Been there and done that. Most importantly: Changed that! My message now is: "Hey (name), I see you are within (niche). I'd like to connect with you!" Half of my connections are going through within 30 minutes, and the other half are still pending because the people are just not active too much on LinkedIn by nature. If I had to guess, I'd say 70-80% of my connection requests are being accepted. Only after convincing them I am a normal human, I start with my follow-up message: "I have a project where I am doing xyz. Can I explain it to you here in this chat?" Asking people for permission is a GAME-CHANGER. Everybody loves to buy, but nobody wants to be sold to. Ask for permission before copy and pasting your 300 word long sales-message. Sometimes I find my scripts even that unfitting, that I am creating something off the top of the head to fit the nature of the conversation. For me, it works very well. I have a total of 55 high quality contacts so far and out of them, 4 people are genuinely interested in implementing a chatbot into their processes. 1 person even asked me "Hey that's interesting, I have a problem you might know how to solve. I want to send 2000 messages to LinkedIn-contacts, is there a way to do it?" I took 2 days and responded with a detailed message how he could achieve that without risking his account over a period of 2 months and without doing it manually. Will he work with me further? Heck knows! Is he more likely to come back to me because I helped him and truly showed effort that I cared? Heck yeah! And even if I am wrong, he would make a great testimonial! One more person said she cannot find any use for such an automation, but she knows a business that is struggling with another problem: a gym that cannot find an affordable software for their members. Is that a big project? Yeah! Does that open doors? Well.. yeah, of course! You just need to show up, be human and people will tell you what struggles they have, even if they might not need your help themselves. The most eye-opening experience was probably today (24.08.2023), though. In my early days, I booked a call with a finance-advisor. The meeting was set for today and back then I already asked "Hey, can we maybe hold that meeting earlier?" She said "Nah (to make it short, she wrote more lol). Today I had the meeting at 12 and I literally nearly forgot about her. She showed no interest in me and I was like. "Okay, come on. You have this 15minute meeting, just get it over with." I haven't prepared anything. I was literally doing a workout at home and between sets I wanted to get the call/meeting behind me. Suddenly, I start telling her again what I am doing in case she forgot and she answers: "Oh yeah, I can see myself using that for my website. As a matter of fact, we have a whole network of people in the finance-niche who are struggling with the same problems. many people are booking a call and only after the call is done, we can determine if these people are a good fit for us or not. such a chatbot which determines it automatically would save so much time. we have a networking-call every thursday, do you want to join, present yourself and your idea?" I felt like a 12-year-old kid that found $100 on the street. Especially this call made me realize: You're closer than you think you are. Now it's truly about being impatient about actions and being very patient about results. IT WILL PAY OFF AND I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK; FELLAS

Cold calls made this week: 280 , calls that lasted more than 10 seconds: 0, leads qualified: 0. Facebook posts boosted since last Friday: 4, responses: 0. Twitter and Instagram same as FB. KZbin: 4 ai videos since last Friday, 427 views, 17 comments, 6 leads. Conferences signed up for since last Friday: 2 ; received 26 leads and 12 meeting requests. Some of the tactics being pumped through these con artist videos are just the same bad recommendations from network marketers in the 1980s, so I’m surprised they aren’t also recommending door-to-door sales. Cold emails get the business flagged for spam too. Leads should be exercised after they express an interest in learning more about the product. That said, the offer needs to meet the niche audience in their home turf or playground.

You just earned my subscription. Great content. Love the transparency. I am in my first month of my AAA as well, and have generated interest yet realize that the value is not quite understood just yet. At some point a custom finely tuned LLM for a specific area of expertise may be the real value. That being said. I think these offers are wildly valuable depending on the clmplexity and tech stack. If you are creative you can glcrestr better and better offers that en corporate various tools. I would say problems are more contractual and closing deals. Interest is there but timelines get pushed back and pricing creates hesitation.

Bro, an idea that I got when learning to make Chatbots is that a “Chatbot” and a “ AI Virtual assistant” are very different things. The virtual assistants are dinamic, and smart elements that understand, interpret and response to human language. The Chatbot is just a predefined thing that can only respond in 1 way. I think educating the customers about this might ease the process.
@BrockMesarich

Hey Brock, appreciate your honesty and also your search for solutions! I've experienced about the same issues you have, but I'm (also) determined to not give up. I think we are just a little bit toooo exited about ALL the possibilities and chances that come with A.I., that we forget that "traditional" businesses always are very careful, if not anxious to just go for these kind of revolutional changes. I also came up with the idea to give a way AI-chatbots to just get some experiences and to get some quality reviews. I'm also thinking of a more local approach, for example some advertising space in Business-magazines. Some have even offered me to do an interview (not totally free o.c., but not that expensive). And o.c. I subscribed! Groeten uit Nederland!

Great value. Especially with wrapping the product offer into a full white label or full service automated leads and sales funnel. I want to offer some advice to you too. Why niching with marketers - you are then a markerter selling to a markerter. I am certain that most of these marketers know about AI chatbots already. Instead, look at a niche that get plenty of leads coming in for their services - realtors, pyshios, fitness instructors, coaches, builders, etc. And know that they have probably not used this tech yet. And many might be in the market for paying for your service. Just some advice. As a person selling marketing AI bots - I wouldn’t sell to other marketers.

I'm glad you got value from the video! Also, great point on the niche. This is something I am starting to see as well and I am thinking about pivoting a bit. I need to find a niche where they make good money from each new customer, like a personal trainer. It is much more enticing for the lead generation/appointment booking system if it is within one of those niches

@@BrockMesarich It's great that we were able to assist one another. I'm now venturing into the field of AI chatbots, and I'm thrilled by their effectiveness. However, there's still some distance to cover. Additionally, several companies remain unaware of AI integration's new functionality, which could greatly improve chat quality and increase turnover for those who already use chatbots. Perhaps it's feasible to locate businesses that are still utilizing the old chatbot method and haven't yet implemented the new AI feature, which is also a smart approach. Overall, the videos were fantastic 👍.

I'm yet to make a sale, despite having a few prospects on my spreadsheet. Over these weeks, I've learned to focus on one niche and dive deep into it. Currently, I'm concentrating on hotels. I'm also solely relying on cold-calling, and I must say, reaching decision-makers is quite the challenge, just as you indicated. Your suggestion regarding highly targeted Facebook Ads makes a lot of sense. I'll continue pushing forward, and once the funds come in, I'll definitely invest in FB Ads. The ROI (amd metal health) on cold calling sucks, same goes for cold emailing, you should spend some cash on PPC also you could make a lot of explainer videos on YT talking about how people can set up their own bot, one more thing, I think you are in the wrong niche, the SEO/SAAS/Marketing niche is very tech savvy and it is really hard to find people that don't know that they can basically hire aVA and have them set it up for a fraction of what you charge.

I'm running an agency which sells chat software to a very specific niche. I'm a marketer with 25 years experience and we decided to avoid the 'ai chatbot' in messaging. We therefore adopted a software company approach and we are the only company offering this in our niche. It's interesting the barriers you have come up against are largely about education, which is something we do extensively. Webinars have been very important for us. With regards to the comment on the ease of access to create - I would suspect this is due to your niche having a high proportion of tech savvy individuals. Our niche is not traditionally tech aware and waste alot of time doing repetitive tasks, which is perfect for IT One other thing I noticed - you aren't selling the benefits and outcome of the tool. Clients aren't interested in the tech or how it works, just the tangible benefits
@BrockMesarich

Thank you for your message Richard. I'm curious to hear what you mean by adopting a software company approach. As for the niche i am targeting, I think you may be right and I am wondering if I need to switch up my target clients. As for selling the tool as opposed to the benefits, I am definitely going to change my approach to selling the outcome instead. As stated in the video, businesses don't care about the tech, rather the results. Thanks for your inputs Richard!

Good video showing how tough it can be to start a new business. Noted in the comments that many people have issues getting traction from cold-calling/outreach. I'm wondering if many of the people struggling to gain clients don't have much in the way of sales experience? A lot of the issues in regards to gaining clients can be addressed with a lot of sales experience. I know this from personal experience, as when I was in sales, I had tonnes of issues selling and getting traction form cold leads but as I grew more proficient, it was way easier to handle objections and keep people on calls for far longer, even if they showed disdain when they first answered the call. Keep trying man, you'll be fine.

It definitely is not easy, like most people portray it to be on the internet. I agree with your point about sales experience. @@BrockMesarich they said they didn’t need it mostly because of what you said in the video. They think it’s just the average chatbot, even when I explained it wasn’t. I explored accountants and digital marketers and real estate agents. Had a different bot for each and made a lot of calls and e-mails. Booked several meetings. I think a lot of the digital marketers also just took the idea for themselves and ran with it. My offer sucked though. It was a vague 30 day money back guarantee, which isn’t really an offer. So there’s that.

Businesses have 3 issues. 1) How does AI affect my staff and my business 2) Is my data safe 3) And you are absolutely correct no one knows what AI is. What is working for me is not selling the chatbot. That is just a front end like a website. I show them all my offers end to end and then I present the many ways to reach their customers from landing pages, emails, physical assets, mobile apps, and of course chatbots. I go over the pros and cons of each, but really at the end I show them that having multiple ways generating leads is the only way. This is a lead example but you can apply this too anything. Training for example could have a physical asset, pdf, app and chatbot.

@JoeTeshima
@JoeTeshima Жыл бұрын
@@rawanhegazy8931Sooooo this is the point that doesn’t really get mentioned in all these videos. When you are using a low code/no code tool it’s really important for you to read the terms, privacy and their 3rd party partners terms. ( spoiler alert most tools use the requests and responses to train their AI backend amongst other things ). How I handle this is depending on the budget. I’m always VERY clear up front that their proprietary data is not secure using the “cheaper” option ( using these AI no code tools ) when this is the case and they can’t afford a custom solution where I build a whole solution using something like AzureAI or AWS. I will then have to work with the client to anonymize the data or help them understand the risks. Using something like a vector database to hold their private data and we “custom” code that part to a local LLM that is installed on a private server is a bit cheaper but still more expensive than the no code solution than going with a full Azure or AWS. Read my other comment below for an example and if you want to chat further you can reach me on discord @icopro

Interesting, received valuable info from this. Regarding the point about selling more than just a chatbot. That sounds like a valid plan. You could create a packet that includes services that solves the same problem as a chatbot. But to a higher extent. And also, it is pretty easy to build a chatbot/Ai virtual assistant But, it is not easy to create a good one that can answer questions users have with high confidence to avoid frustration as a user which has to be avoided at all costs. The businesses that make the bot on their own will probably struggle because they don’t know how to build relevant controlflows that makes up the best possible user experience, which you do. However, I think it would be a bit difficult to tell them that in a good way. What do you think?

I believe that providing services for free in the beginning is actually really great for gaining case studies and testimonials too, its also a great way of gaining experience and getting your foot in the door within your chosen niche. But the best thing about it has to be getting an inside scoop of the common pain points and common occuring issues they bring up. this in turn would help you adjust your service to attend their occuring needs.. You're not doing it for "free" - you're doing it in exchange for a testimonial. The 'right' testimonial becomes an Evergreen magnet that can get you $1000s in sales for years to come.
