Amanda got married at 18 so her husband was the only serious relationship. Her husband was older than her by several years so he probably handled most things during their marriage. So Amanda doesn’t know how to navigate life as a single woman much less a single Mom. When her plane was landing her face looked excited, afraid, unsure, guilty etc. She thought she was ready to go meet Razvan and start planning their future but she isn’t ready…even a little bit. Razvan is pushing her and it is scaring her so she will back up and push him away. I feel for the both of them for different reasons

I would have much more sympathy for her in the children department if she had not already had them interacting with him. We are all responsible for ourselves and our feelings in relationships. It seems she was using this pen-pal type relationship to escape the sadness in her life… but you could see EVERYTHING in her shift as soon as they met. She is responsible for conveying that to him. He is clearly in love and ready to move things forward. He has been as understanding as he can be about it. He is doing what any normal human would do when they are in love with someone. It’s clear that for whatever reason she is wanting to put on the breaks. However, she is shrouding it in “my children… my children” and making him look and feel selfish but he isn’t. If she were really worried about that she would never have had him interacting with them to begin with. She would have waited a long time before she put him in their lives. EXACTLY!! I waited a minimum of a year (longer the 2nd time), before introducing my daughter to 1 of the 2 BFs I’ve had since divorcing her father 10 years ago. And, that’s just a divorce, not death! They are so young, it’s too soon, and it was emotionally irresponsible of her to introduce him already. Kids can remember, even when so little, whether we like it or not. Amanda's traumatized and Razvan has a very fast paced tempo and also the gravity of her situation is beyond his life experience. This situation is unfair to both her and razvan. I think it's too soon to know if she's being so aggressive because that's her personality or if it's the trauma plus the fact that she doesn't have her own space and had to sleep right next to this person she's never been in the same room with before, right from the first night, while being filmed. She also has the weight of being the sole provider of 2 children, which is a very very heavy weight. I hope people aren't too quick to label their characters, because there's no reason to believe there's anything wrong with them as people. Just normal people in difficult circumstances

I've been in similar shoes with Amanda. I was dating an exchange student (let's call him Dan) and we became extremely close. But by the time he needed to go back to his home country, both of us were very sad as we couldn't do anything much about it. And both of us even agreed that we shouldn't do long distance as I had bad experiences in the past. Therefore, we agreed to explore and date other people so it can help us to move on from our feelings. Unfortunately, whenever I dated anyone after him, I tend to get frustrated and find fault in each of them as I kept on comparing these guys to Dan. And I ultimately realize that I've been so selfish and hurting these guys, that I have stopped dating anyone for now just to really focus on myself... I know Amanda is doing this to just move on, but I'm sure there are other ways apart from dating.

I acted like that when I was 16..Go home and heal with your children. Get them the necklaces with a bit of their daddy's ashes and a teddy bear made with dad's favorite sweatshirts. They make some that have dad's voice from videos that you hear when you press his paw. Have them pick their favorite pictures and make books for them. It seems so sad to carry dad's ashes around. 😕🙏🏼

Her kids are just as hurt as they were 2 days ago before she left? No, I could not imagine being 5 years old, losing a parent, and then one decides to leave on vacation for a whole month. They are your only parent you have left, your support, your comfort, and now that’s ripped from you too as you’re still trying to process that daddy died, which at their age is nearly impossible. She is not a good mother for leaving them this soon after their father’s death. And while I’m sure he may have been ok with her dating eventually, I’m certain her late husband would not want his children left with whomever while their mother goes on vacation so soon after he passed, now her children are being traumatized without her comfort, probably having nightmares that she won’t come home and be gone forever like daddy. It’s selfish and ridiculous.

No one, NO ONE can tell another human being how to mourn a loss, when it's acceptable to want romantic attention after the death of a spouse, or how much sadness is "appropriate". I think this woman is trying to WILL herself to "heal" and "overcome" but is not there yet. She was with her husband since she was 18 years old, so she likely feels lost about being the one adult who's now in charge of everything. She can use the distraction, I'm sure, and one this unexpected and this good looking would be hard to pass! She is, however, sending mixed signals to this man, and that's unwise and unfair. Honestly, I don't think she's wrong for wanting to be desired, for being away from her children for 3 weeks, or for entertaining the possibility of a relationship. Each person has his or her own timing, and these things are never linear. I do think she's wrong in not reflecting a little more and making HIM feel HE is going too fast.

I think she's wrong for leaving her kids for 3 weeks to chase overseas dick when they just lost their father a few months earlier. I understand she lost her mom in 2019 and her sister and husband a month apart in 2022 so she's probably hanging on by a thread, but those kids lost all those people too and need their mom for support and stability. She's got these kids talking to a man she found on tiktok and is angling to make him their new daddy because she doesn't know how to do things alone while driving around with their dad's ashes. I'm not unsympathetic, but those kids have had their lives turned upside down and they have to come first. She deserves a distraction and some freedom, but she doesn't need to leave the country for weeks for that. If her kids have a panic attack or breakdown, she's hours away from being there for them and that's going to add to the trauma. She could date locally, go away for a few days, and better balance her needs, her children's needs, and a relationship.
