Makayla just turned back into the randomly generated sim she was in the beginning. Same with Nikolas except for skin tone and hair color. Even the clothes didn't change. That's why they looked fine when they were changed to young adult. Because they didn't switch.

CAS doesn't age up randomized sims for some reason. Just the ones you make with the parents.

I love that no matter how many times Sasha does "From Toddler To Adult" challenge, she never seems to realize that no matter what she does to the toddler it always ends looking like the adult from the very start. I sometimes wonder if she's ever going to notice it, weather it's playing the game or editing the video.

I think it only applies to YA btw. If you age them to teen or adult, toddler will be aged correctly

I think the two toddlers looked perfect is because the toddlers as adults might just be your preset sims (as adults), just with different colors for example, I did this before and I started out with a preset sims and I made those sims into toddlers I did the randomization stuff on them and when I made them adults, they still looked like the preset sims from before, like yours did
