I grew up in the Catholic tradition, I was very proud of it and always thought I was holier than others because of my Catholic background. What an eye opener regarding those things when I came to faith in Christ 24 years ago. My entire family is still Catholic, this is truly the hardest thing about the Christian life. I am so grateful for Ray's ministry, I've used the same questions to speak to unbelievers about the gospel, so amazing that most people walk away with the knowledge of their position before a Holy God unrepentant but my hope is always the same, that God would use in His timing. Catholicism is far from being perfect but it is definitely part of the Holy Church, against which the gates of hell shall not prevail (Matt 16:18). @@TR-qr9hsBaptism is about obedience, but not a requirement for salvation. The thief on the cross was not baptized and Jesus said that he would be with Him in paradise on the very day he died. Baptism for the remission of sins…the “for” means “because of.” Repentance is required before baptism is what your cited verses are teaching. All of the Old Testament saints were not baptized. John the Baptist was not baptized. Other things are commanded after being saved, but not part of salvation…like not forsaking the assembly of yourselves together, which means to be a faithful member at your local church, and taking the Lord’s supper, and many other things.

Note how his Christian friends had been talking to him and praying for him. Sometimes our work ends up being gardening: someone you witness to, be it a coworker or just someone you meet, maybe won't accept Christ today, won't turn from sin today. But by God's mercy some of them have a tomorrow where they're more open because of what they've already heard - where the seed that's been planted gets a ray of sunshine. Even when someone turns away and is seemingly hostile or ambivalent, God gives the increase, not us. Getting discouraged over a 'lack of response' or a 'dry period' is like a farmer assuming every time he tills, every time he plows, every time he plants, and every time he harvests, to have that same day in which he does that work to bring home some crops - even though only one of those steps is actual harvesting! And here, we can see what seems to be some earlier gardening result in a yield. This is no excuse for those who haven't turned from sin yet. The Bible itself says "While it is called Today" - more than once - because none of us can guarantee that tomorrow our hearts will be as open to yielding to God, or even that our hearts will still be beating. --- Thanks for these vids!

Missionary work is so important, but so many believers forget that there is a desperate need for this here in the states. God is amazing! I was getting Holy Spirit tingles as you were praying for him, and then, right as he said to turn to God, I had a knock on my front door that turned out to be a 17-year-old pest control salesman who is Mormon! His parents had divorced when he was six (Mom's remarried), and he listened so intently to the gospel (he's still a virgin, but has lied, stolen and hated someone), knew the end times and the false beliefs of Mormons and Catholics that he stayed at my door for an hour and a half. I gave him a couple of your gospel tracts and my "repent or be left behind letter" and now I pray for Logan (please pray for him if you read this). Since I know the Scriptures about divorce and remarriage, he was very interested, and I also told him to come check out your channel in addition to mine. The day before I had called a pastor in another state because I saw he had a great video on the divorce and remarriage Scriptures, but it turned out that he's Oneness Pentecostal which is completely false just as Mormonism. They both knew we are in the last days, but they will be left behind unless they repent of believing in a different Jesus and get truly born again. Glad that you include Acts 2:38 sometimes because there is an order to baptism that you must repent first (confess and forsake the sin and receive the new heart that loves righteousness). Logan had believed in and participated in the Mormon "baptism for the dead." May God open his heart and mind to repent and receive the Holy Spirit. Thanks for what you do, Ray. i want to see this type of miracle everyday every second of my life, i need not any other forms of miracle that God certainly also graciously grant , this is more precious than seeing a mountain moved. i see myself in him. Yeshua and his spirit is moving before our very eyes, what a time to be alive.
