Great video. I like how confident he was at using hell sweep to force you to continue to have anxiety about ducking. You said yourself in the beginning you wanted to "block his hellsweep early to discourage him from using it". That is exactly what you did but for the later rounds it just seems like you didn't stop ducking.

Curious as to why you didn’t sprinkle in a bit of sidewalk left to discourage Keisuke from doing cd 1+2 and cd 3+4? That way he had to vary up his timings/options a bit differently. It seems like offensively Keisuke was able to consistently enforce his gameplan as safely as possible. I know you probably have a great reasoning but I couldn’t put my finger on it!

Logic is that SSl/SWL will lose to EWGF, db4 or even ff2 if timed right by the Kazuya. But I agree in general that you need to make it such so the Kaz doesn't feel so comfy doing cd1+2 and HS.

Man Keisuke's Kazuka is a menace Joc, you're one of the best on Tekken 8, and even you admit it. I was watching the whole CEO stream and man, even in the losers he was unphased by the pressure, or at least he didn't show it if he was. And how about his ring walk😅

Now days i have goods results hunting Higth attacks with UF3+4 it have cs6 that let You set good Traps from F+3,2(-3oB) and DB+1+2 (-4 oB) lab it and give a try, also i got very good results disguise the QCF+1 with UF+3 (-1oB) if good and safe options btw UF+3 have a lot of uses

Nah you're right. It's just one of those things that sometimes you don't implement effectively in game. Tournament nerves can cause an over reliance on tech rolling too. But it's definitely worth staying down at times unless the Kaz gets savvy to it and starts ff4ing you.

The brutal truth is that the higher you go the opponents get nastier I've definitely noticed that with Tekken 8 and knowing you being at the Apex your at literally the height of tough opponents. It doesn't help that Kazuya got buffs to the point where he's very difficult to deal with now and is a core character for a very long time in Tekken so it makes sense that HQ would want to buff him but I feel like they over did it. Your very fortunate to make it this far very few Tekken players get to make it to a major tournament.

Kazuya didn't get any crazy buffs. He got: A simpler 15 frame punish (you know, like every other char in the game, except his 15 frame is not a launcher. He still needs to electric to do damage) Cd 1+2 was buffed from 20 dmg to 30 dmg, and went from -5 ob to +6 ob, but at the same time it's not a counter hit launcher anymore. If it hits, that's all he gets. Outside of this all he got was hitbox fixes to df1 and a few other moves which were disfunctional before the patch. His combos would randomly drop and it was so annoying. Long story short, he is now fixed, and is a strong character. Not a top 10 candidate by any means though.

You surely have the worst defense for a pro player, you kept pushing buttons to avoid the 50 50 and paid the price for it. He is not even doing the timing delay that you are saying, Im not wondering why you chose Feng Wei as a main character, to hide the defensive issues, so that you can be very offensive with Feng and use the back kempo all the time to save you. You might want to consider Yoshimitsu it is best for no defense players.
