MLB 09 The Show was the first MLB The Show I played that wasn’t a PS2 game because I played MLB 06, MLB 07, and MLB 08 on the PS2. Plus I got this on Christmas in 2009 along with the PS3 game system itself.

MLB 09 had the best most fun hitting. Clutch cleanup hitters mattered like ryan howard in the 9th if you were down and men were on base he was likely hitting a homerun to win the game

As someone who grew up in this franchise… I’ve played every single game since 2006. Not only does this bring back absolutely incredible memories… but it also makes me realize how fantastic this game was back in the day. Not only that, but the graphics were truly incredible. I would actually venture to say that there are certain situations in this game that look better than the current version of MLB 24. i’ve been saying this for a while, but the show really needs to update their game engine as it is truly starting to show its age. I really believe that SDS could take a huge step forward and really propel this game back to its glory days with a new updated engine… Something like unreal engine five.
