A few years ago I would have been complaining that this thing only had 20 amp hour battery. Now that it has a 30 amp hour battery I'm going to complain it's only 48 volts.😂

Stoked to see you do a review on this bike! I ordered it at the beginning of June and to my dismay, there were like no reviews or videos of it! So far it's exceeded my need for speed despite how bulky it is. Accessing the menu I was able to set it to PAS 3, and on the 3rd setting open throttle alone hit 39-40 MPH! On a full charge I can zip around for about 20 miles at that speed then it slowly drops.to a max of 35ish with one bar on the battery gone. It rides totally different than my Addmotor Motan, the turning radius sucks if you store it in tight quarters and the weight if you have to lift it up any stairs is brutal. But all in all, $1400 was well worth it for my main mode of transportation. I've still not figured out how to mount the fenders. The screw hole one would just bolt it to isn't bored out at all. Oh well, I'm pretty stoked about the hydraulic brakes, never had those before. I feel they work much better than the ol cable link kind. Anyone want to do a video of the factory menu that would be cool. There is one but some options aren't covered in it that are my menu. Very similar but nope.

Great video as always. Yes, I was looking at that big frame and that big battery wondering how overall the bike was going to do along with the suspension and I didn't see too much that was special that would make it stand out. I mean the frame is great, but the power in the sand seemed pretty below average and for a person who rides a lot like me, I can tell it would probably not work well for me since the battery performance might keep you limited, but then again that's just me. I think I'll stick with my Romeo Pro. I have put over 3,300 miles on it since November (8 months ago) and that thing has worked almost flawlessly with only a few issues. Actually I got my Romeo Pro because of your channel. Thanks for all the reviews, us serious ebike riders appreciate you.

Nice T bucket hotrod ! I get the impression this bike is too heavy. The mirror positioning is dorf, making you look down and away from whats coming towards you. I've done 485 miles on my ebike so far, quite alot of that off road and when I'm on loose surfaces i use the rear brake more than the front. If you have a front bias on gravel you will bin it eventually. I changed the bars and seat post for carbon items to save weight, trust me it makes a difference. I bought a second battery so i have the option of carrying it or not depending on how far I'm going. I find on sand it's better to pump the tyres up to bursting point, the opposite of what you would think but to have soft tyres on soft sand is too much drag for the motor. I don't have a double sided chain guard and over the big bumps it sometimes pings off the inside of the chan ring which is something i need to fix. I've tried to keep the accessories as light as possible, you find that the cheaper made items are usually the lightest! I've destroyed 2 derailleur so i need to fix it with a guard and as i approach the 500 mile mark i need to replace the back tyre, it's wasted now. Apart from my minor gripes, i love my ebike and it has saved me a small fortune in travel costs, I would recommend them to anyone thinking of buying one. Great review as usual, you must go back and see what those redbull folks were up to. Take the crazy ecells bike and try hitting the ramps at 30mph 😮.

Most of these new ebikes are heavy + whatever someone weighs. I decided to buy the all aluminum Schwinn Axum 29' mountain bike (very light weight) and long. I bought a 1500W conversion kit off ebay for $250 2 years ago, and later upgraded the battery to a 20Ah on "Black Friday" on sale for $180, 37 mph with super range.
@scottishcontentcreators5 ай бұрын
@lionelhowell4972 That sounds like my bike. An aluminium, long fixed frame, rudimental front forks, hydraulic discs 180 front and rear, throttle with 1-5 cadence sensor setting. Just no where near as powerful or fast! Lionel I don't know what country you're in but I'm in Scotland and the rules here in the United Kingdom are a bit antiquated and frankly, weird! My bike is limited to a motor assistance up to 15.5 mph or 25 kmh. The rest is up to me. At top speed you must not be 'pedalling furiously', I kid you not that's the legal terminology! So whilst on the highway you must abide by speed limits, on the cycleways, in theory, you could go as fast as you want, 100mph, as long as you don't endanger other people or animals and as long as you aren't pedalling furiously lol. No law to wear a helmet but you must have amber reflectors on the pedals, front and rear facing and you must have a rear reflector. This is why there's alot of people asking to revisit our 19th century laws! How many miles have you done on the bike? I'm at 550 miles but have only owned it a few months so far. I'm planning a 10 speed conversion from the 7 at the moment and I need to get a few service items done soon. How many miles do you get from a back tyre? Mines done now but I'm going to try week it out to 600 miles.

Seriously, WHY put 160mm rotors on ANY e-bike with 20" wheels or bigger? Is it to deliberately chince 12% of your stopping leverage? And then when you go to 26" wheels this adds 22% more load on the rotors (20/26 logic). Nice reviews by T-H and covers most points every time, but if I was a chincer company I would use one of my own employees to help cover up my ulterior motives/secrets. If the bike has a 48T, or 52T, or bigger chain ring - be sure to mention. The chincer logic to put 160mm and 48T together on the same bike implies there are maybe five or ten more deficits hidden in the bike. Sorry, I was close to buying a dual-crown Burchda and then I saw the chincer move they resorted to. Really, is it up to me to buy and install 203mm rotors on a 26" bike? Apparently it is. The guy who chinced this bike to 160mm rotors needs to be outed. 26" wheels should ALWAYS get 203mm or bigger for safety and longevity of the pads. Ah, yes, can you even get replacement pads? Sold out forever? Usually. Who are these guys?

This bike looks like it was made for someone who rides to work on a EV bike everyday and maybe goes to the grocery store with a back pack on. All asphalt, commuter style riding. In that kind of environment, I think it would do well. I think regardless, the motor needs to be more powerful. And the Itstands bike is definitely a pedal assist bike. Not a electric motorcycle type EV bike. But a nice, quality EV bike for someone who wants a EV commuter bike. Just stay out of the sand. Pushing a 100 pound EV bike through the sand, on a hot day, cannot be fun.

There was a mistake in assembly. You should move the 180 mm rotor to the front and the 160 to the rear. Absolutely nobody would design it to have a larger disc on the back. There is a reason most of your braking force comes from the front. That reason is weight transfer. This is physics and it cannot be "designed out" with clever design. What this means is your rear tire loses grip.
@tylerhamilton-nz8qs5 ай бұрын
Having a rear brake that is more powerful than the front is way safer. I l hardly ever use my front brake as am not a fan of flying over handlebars!
@tarstarkusz5 ай бұрын
@@tylerhamilton-nz8qs You'll just skid. Even if you only apply the back brake, all of the weight shifts forward. You should practice panic braking and make it a habit to move your weight backwards on the bike.
@christopherhinkel82745 ай бұрын
I thought the same thing if the rear brake adapter can be swapped as well. 160mm front rotor on a 26" wheel is too small, it's OK on a 20" wheel. You can approach 100% weight transfer to the front, making the rear brakes useless in an emergency stop.
@SilvaDreams4 ай бұрын
@tarstarkusz Quite sure it was done intentionally, smaller rotor on the front so less likely to lock up the wheel which will cause you to lose controls where as the rear is safer to lock up. It's the same way cars brake.
@tarstarkusz4 ай бұрын
@@SilvaDreams It's not true on either bikes or cars. For many years and even today, many cars have disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear. On a bike, even if you only hit the rear brake, all the weight shifts forward and reduces the rear tire's grip on the ground. A large rotor isn't necessarily better at stopping suddenly. A large rotor increases the mass of the rotor and it can absorb more heat faster.
