@Bigbaymonstermare4 жыл бұрын
@@trendhive7604 I think that *especially* because you’re 16, that your opinion is exceptionally valuable. When I was 15, I bought my first horse myself and I worked part time during high school to pay for her board and all her bills. And even though I was footing the bill (and I also trained her with the help of a friend who is one of my best friends to this day, and I’m in my mid thirties), I wasn’t allowed to go and ride her unless I kept my grade average above 85%. I still had chores at home and I paid for my own car insurance to drive one of the family cars and my own petrol. I made even extra money every year around thanksgiving and Christmas, by helping a friend’s family slaughter and dress chickens and turkeys for sale. I also joined a veterinary 4H group and we took part in necropsies (animal autopsies) and leaned all about livestock and how to keep them healthy and how by doing these necropsies and learning, we help the animals alive and how to treat them with respect and keep them as healthy as possible and learned about how to change the industry by setting standards for keeping them, transporting them, and slaughter. To this day, I am so grateful I stumbled across this lifelong passion of horses and I’ve taught and judged and designed jumping courses professionally. I worked hard to become certified to do so and I have made sure my son is aware of how life works and the value of having animals in our lives. Keep that attitude up, you’re on the right path and I loved that you feel this way. I am proud of the work I’ve put in (I think I only have one video public on my channel, but it’s of me training my horse over some larger jumps, here in England - I grew up in Canada and only moved here because my husband is English). ❤️

I have this incubator, I cut a cupboard cloth mat to fit bottom of incubator! At lock down I placed in incubator with sponges cut in half and placed in with eggs. This Worked well. The little holes or water I felt to be a drowning hazard! Glad I didn’t put water in them . I would love to have this incubator if you have any left! I also placed in tote box with lid to control ambient temperature! Worked well!

This is actually a very accurate incubator! You keep styrofoam and cover it during use both top and bottom to hold in the heat! You will notice the holes in it are made for the plus and view areas on top is for temp controls. The tiny spaces are for qual or other tiny eggs! Not water! The water reservoir is only where you place the sponge. There is also a hole in the front where you can refill it without having to open the top.

The height of the container for the quail is quite high. So when they try to fly or jump they hit the ceiling in the container. I think thats the other reason for them to die so you need to research for that as well. From my farming experiance what i remember they were not more than 2 feet or less. Try to look into that as well.

@@flamboyantpotato4004 True, but can be done, watched one of the wildlife conservation centre and santuary for birds if prey as well as some birds in general (Southwest wildlife foundation) raised a small humming bird, it was amazing but yes very delicate, fragile and time consuming. But even grounded dried crickets or ground mealworms or juicy caterpillars with some water to make it pasty or grounded bird food with some nectar no dye or sugar water, and a really small dropperor syringe with small tube or very small metal scoop like chemistry one would work. Ah, yes, a chick called Albert channel maker raised some and fed them aphids and rose lice off a paper clip, oh that was an another small bird breed.

As far as I know, hummingbirds are exclusive to the Americas, which likely means there are little to none that are not on the migratory bird list, which means you must have a permit from federal fish and wildlife to hatch a hummingbird in the US. Try SAVEING money up first farms cost to get started THOUSANDS were not talking a few hounded hatching quail or chickens WERE TALKING THOUSANDS so save up and research you don't need any animals yet you need knowledge lots of it to u need wood working knowledge animal care knowledge vet knowledge minor medical knowledge and even financing knowledge not all of which is professionalized so starting with quail or hatching won't do you any good

We would love an incubator to add on our farm. My kids love watching our chicks grow, even before they hatch!

I help my daughter nanny for two girls ages 8 & 5. We just did an egg taste test today and found your video. I have 1 roo n 4 hens, so I would give them eggs to hatch. Once hatched and done broading I will give them more to repeat. Everleigh & Graelyn would love this incubator please. Thank you for sharing!

Pretty sure "The incubator murdered a chick it had just hatched" is a big con, but there might be workarounds.

I suppose you could cover up the water holes with some kind of mesh overlay. But they should have thought about that when designing it.

@@whitehouseonthehill Before filling it, maybe just cut up some sponge or fill it with some clean pebbles or something? I bet there are even lego parts that would work. :)

Wish I had a farm growing up but we only had horses, dogs and cats. I wish my kids were experiencing all the awesomeness your kids are. I feel like a failure 😭😭😭

I would love the incubator! I just got my first quails and don’t have an incubator🙄😂 if you choose me you can have faith that it will be put to good use. I’m sure I would be able to maintain the water levels and the turning point etc. I hope you see this! 👍🏼🥰😊🥚🥚🥚🐣🐣🐣
