You are right, they will heal but it's nice to get a little cuddle when you are hurt and scared. A little monkey saliva and he will heal quickly. He could use mum to help get the gravel out of the wounds around his snout.

Boy it’s amazing we humans sit here with our hand sanitizers and all this other nonsense and look at these monkeys. They eat with their damn feet, food off the ground, they drink out of street puddles. They get beat up and heal without bandaids and ointments. It’s just amazing.

I have always been closer to the " monkey' side than the human one. Ive never ised hand sanitizer outside of a hospital, and that was only because it was required. I've never had an issue with trying raw meat... while i don't go overboard.... its not hard for me to cut a few bites of bloody venison off a deer to curb hunger pangs while dressing it out. I will regularly take a few bites of raw hamburger and eat it while mybwife packaging it up to be frozen. She is always telling me hoe disgusting i am because i regularly eat out of date food items. And i have ZERO quams with grabbing the last few chicken nuggets or half cheese burger one of the kids took two bites out of and threw in the can. As long as its not visibly in a pile of debris from sweeping the floor, or cat shit from the litter box. Then its still fair game to me. I had probably only had antibiotics 4 or 5 times growing up, and i grew up with siblings in a large city. Recently a break out of RSV hit my sons class room so he stayed home with me for about 5 school days. Everyone in the house got it and it knocked the crap out of them, except for me. I also cook potatoes in the camp fire at our mountain retreat... i dust them off cut in half and eat like a half an apple... something else that grooses my wife out. Some folks would say that i am.... "dirty'" or a neanderthal for my behavior... but i had perfect attendance in 10, 11, 12th grades. I RARELY get sick as my immune system is stronger than Krupp steel. And i enjoy life without the wet naps, hand sanitizer.. 16 soaps from B&B Works. And constant medical intervention. Rarely do i get sick and when i do its not half as bad as the rest of the family. The flu is like half hearted cold. While the old lady may find this stuff "gross" .... its just never bothered me. I guess i have hardened my immune system and my edible hygienic to a standard of times long past... back when family's lived off the land. I guess "dirty" is all relative to the norm. Oh also i had a bad infection where my arm swelled up from a metal sliver from Work... it got big and red and HOT to the touch. I took out my pocket knife jabbed a hole in it... and pushed out probably 1.5 to 2 cups of hot bloody yellow and green puss. Pushes and pushed until it was mostly blood... cleaned the wound and when i took my son to the doc a week later my wife told on me... he looked at it and said that I was lucky that i didn't get sepsis and asked what i would have done if it got infected again... i said... "irrigation and debridement number 2" And he didn't see the humor. I often close wounds with electrical tape and super glue too.. another fan favorite around the house.

Has tan, beautifully clear olive skin, I've never seen her sick or under the weather. I guess I'm my fathers daughter, bc I'm nothing like her - fair, really sensitive skin, red hair allergies out the arse, and a very weak immune system growing up. I actually had the chix pox 3 fuckn times in my life. True story. The older I was the worse they were. Last time, I almost died, !03 fever, it was ridiculous. If you look at Dolly's right side it appears she was also involved in a "ROW" as Arroz would call it. That facial abrasion I don't know if it simply was his face being scraped on ground I dunno hard to say but he has slightly black eyes so his little nose was hit very hard.. This is recent and I think Alpha there was involved I don't think all of this was a coincidence. Poor little guy.

That's what I thought too and then his mom snatched the bun he had I'm thinking what the fuck? But then seconds after Dolly couldn't take a bite without Pucky snatching a little handfull every time she put some in her mouth. During a feeding frenzy these guys don't seem to care about anything other than food. Especially the lower ranking. I'd give anything to see who bit little Pucky that hard. The scratches on his face may have been unintentional but the bite was without question done to him on purpose. The other younger ones don't bite each other that hard. An adult did this.

I like how Dolly deliberately breaks up the bread she eating for Pucky. It's just like a human parent cutting up food for their children. I also think there's a lot of competition for food between the adults and their social status within the troop and to ensure the mother is there for the offspring is to eat fast.

They have an orderly structure to who eats first and so on, like a list from top dog to baby orphan, if a baby eats before mom it's because it feels Dominion over them, it's dangerous when a mother allows it's baby to eat at the same time, these babies always end up hurt because they don't realise the disrespect they show other members when they unintentionally eat out of line and get disciplined for it since mom didn't teach them how to socialize correctly in the Haram.

In troops, if a monkey gets out of line in terms of rank they can get punished or disciplined. I wonder if that’s what caused his injuries. Maybe that’s is why his mum isn’t being as nice to him. She can get in trouble with higher ranked monkeys for the behavior of her child.

Feeding them bread isn't giving them much healthy nutrition to grow and live off of. They need fruits and vegetables. All bread does is fill belly but not healthy for them. Have a good day everyone! 🙋 Central Kentucky USA

There is someone who brings them food daily and it's given by the local bakery I do believe and day's when they get fruits and veggies too. Been that way for several years weather permitting and they're doing just fine. Might not be what's best all the time but people are doing what they can.

The local government has tried posting signs banning feeding, to no avail. They tried phasing out the local feeders, that also didn’t work. So they instituted contraceptive programs which, of course, disrupts their social hierarchy. With the current program they have slowed the reproductive rate to 30% from an astonishing 60%. Unfortunately, as long as these animals continue receiving food at the edge of the roads from humans they have no incentive to disburse into the countryside and forage for food. This has been going on for generations since they were first brought to Hong Kong in the 1910’s to eat the local strychnos (source of strychnine) plant.

I’m sure the bread has some nutritional value. They survive on sticks, tree bark, leaves, nectar, bugs etc otherwise. The bread is a nice treat. These monkeys forage way more than the other monkeys at that Angor place. They also get a variety of foods from local feeders so I think they’re doing ok.

It looks like his nose has been bit off but it has not stopped him from eating sitting in front of his mama and when she finished her bread she took his bread away from him and he can’t do nothing about it she dropped a piece of it on the ground and he is eating on it again he better move away from her cause she will take that from him he better learn to eat a lot faster than that he is taking his sweet time eating like no body sees him eating his mama left him behind so now he got to follow her but another big monkey come up to him and got the bread that he had laying on the ground he has realized his mama is gone he whines out he heard some loud noises and he runs and jumps up on his mamas back they look like monsters walking up right on their back legs creepy as hell now that kid with the bad nose is trying to get on his mamas titty now to wash his bread down his mama got up and walked away from him he got to learn how to take care of his self some times his titty windrow is closing down on him

They are omnivorous but main food are plants, seeds, roots, fruit and bark. They also eat insects, chicks and eggs. This doesn't have to be true for our gang because they eat what they can find including hand-outs like bread, veggies, fruit and also less healthy food with a lot of sugar in it. 😊 🤓🏴‍☠️🇸🇪

kathi canepa I agree, absolutely! If the government can trap monkeys every year or so I.don’t see why the can’t bait some traps for the dogs. It is very probably too late for any of the dogs to adjust to pet hood. We have a wonderful trap/neuter/release program near where I live. I don’t see why it couldn’t work with the dogs....

I don't know what was up with Dolly here. She seemed to me to be one of the more attentive mothers but she sure seems to be being kind of a douche to Pucky here isn't she? I'd say most mothers in most cases do their best. Some aren't worth a shit but they do the best they can based on what they learned growing up. There are a couple of mothers that make me with the sterilizations were specific. Not to mention any specific mother but the one who starves her children to death and robs their tiny pouches after they forage. You know, not mentioning any names or anything...cough..Tina...cough cough. I don't think Gypsy is much better but at least she doesn't actually rob a starving baby of their food. Both do what they think to be right, but it makes you question how they got such a strange idea of what is right. I would like to know what actually happened to little Pucky hear, injuring a baby that bad is uncalled for even if he did something wrong, like eating out of turn or something. That's definitely a bite on his wrist. The scratches to his face may have happened unintentionally but it looks pretty nasty. Again, he's just a little guy, what the hell would make an adult or a yearling be that rough on a baby? I guess we'll never know for sure.
