It may have slipped by unnoticed by many of us. Did viewers notice that Sandi put her plan to relocate the rams to the old cattle barn so she could have room for more ewes/lambs and thus (potentially) make more money, on hold. It was so she and Mark could store hay and straw for their neighbour who just had the bad fire. No, "So sorry for the terrible fire, but I am going ahead with my plans to enlarge my flock. You will just have to somehow find room elsewhere to store the hay and straw you need". No fuss, no trumpets, they just put their plan on hold to help a neighbour in need. Good people.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!! farmers and ranchers look after each other....just the way it was intended! one thing my family has always done is loom after our neighbors and friends...when we had the w aldo canyon fire back in 2012 mom and I drove into the fire zone to rescue my dad's boss who had one of our horses...we left with 2 trailers full of animals and feed and equipment(saddles and such) and it was "here's the keys call you later!" after 2 weeks he called and asked if he could have his horses back😄and was shocked everything was there and a full tank of gas....he cried as he never though anyone would show up to help and then we called!!! Man was good to us and us to him...the way it should be!

Hey Sandi! I live inbetween Windsor and Chatham Ontario (literally at the half way point between the two cities) and there's mainly fields in every direction for over half your drive going to either city. While I'm not the type of driver that's reckless around slower traffic. I have noticed that the amount of patience I have when coming up on a tractor has gone up significantly, since watching videos like these. I find Ontario drivers have the "go as fast as possible" mindset. And it's really easy to forget that there's a person inside the tractor just trying to make a living.

Then Mom passed an thats when it hit me ... As I was grieving for my mother I felt sad over the loss of my dad. Sad I chose to not have a relationship with him for specific reasons an now no matter what I cant get that back. Not saying allow toxic in ya life but maybe just maybe had I given him any kind of opportunity to at least say my goodbyes.

Ms. Brock: Sometime in the future, perhaps going to or returning from the sales barn, for those who aren’t involved in agriculture (or don’t have ag clients) would you consider discussing things like lamb marketing issues, marketing boards, the Ontario Sheep Marketing Agency, check off fees, loading regulations, your work with the Ontario Sheep Farmers and your background degree in ag. Management. Think of it as a truck talk coming and going to the sales barn. And maybe add a word or two about the difference between a sales barn and an abattoir. Respectfully, WS

It will get easier the longer you are at it. My wheelchair and the layout of my yard prevents me from growing anymore. Still have some productive fruit... Blackberries, raspberries, figs, muscadine grapes and a pecan tree. The birds and squirrels enjoy more than we do. Finding someone to tend them is not so easy. I so miss my garden fresh vegetables. I admit though, the huge, slow ones are a pain and I swear some of the drivers mess with us! I don't totally blame them, I've seen some drivers taking risks passing.
