I Visit Stew Leonard's Grocery Store Where Animatronics Sing While You Shop! Farmingdale NY

I head to Farmingdale New York and visit a Stew Leonard's grocery store. I need to thank Ray Marateo for letting me know about this grocery chain and I'll be visiting each of these in the coming months. They have many animatronics that sing original songs to you while you shop, enjoy!

I recommend visiting the last 3 remaining Studio Cs in New England, they each have a unique aspect. Everett has the Rockstar Outfit on their bot, while Warwick has a unique ticket blaster backdrop, and Methuen is known for their well maintained show!

So cool to see you heading towards the North East. Stews is a special place that I frequent here in Connecticut. Great food. It doesn’t hurt that they are a hub for activity in the community as well. Hope you enjoyed your time!

I love this store. I actually live close to the Danbury Connecticut location with the original dancing Chiquita Banana animatronic that was ever built. I am also a Stew Leonard animatronic enthusiast and I've been to all 7 current locations. What a masterpiece of a grocery store!

The two dogs in the front are Hank winter (on the left) and Colonel Beauagard (on the right) the ones that you saw were built by VP productions based out of Connecticut. Most early stores used the same set of characters, although built by Sally Corp which is why they resemble some of their characters and have the same audio

I live 2 towns over by there and about 8 years ago when I was 7, my parents took me there and kept pointing the animatronics out to me and what songs they were singing. as a 16 year old now, I think it's really cool that stores like this exist. but back then, I was terrified of those things

So cool to see you here! I'm here all the time for my lunch breaks at work, always love taking a walk around to see the animatronics. Btw if you return the giant fish and fisherman in the seafood section also is animatronic, no button for it but they move occasionally

Yonkers New York a has a Stew Leanords in Westchester County. Why do you not check out there ?

@@SetsStreetsEats you should try to get out there. There is a Costco and Home Depot by them. Look in one of there isles. There is a spider man animatronic there

Hey, CEC related question! So oddly enough I read an article that was written *this summer*, and supposedly Chuck E Cheese was at the time/ is still using floppies and programming some shows? Was this true, at least until recently (my understanding was that they'd moved on to DVD/WiFi only)? What about studio C? Are there some still performing after all?

All locations use a system that runs the shows digatilly, they started to stop using floppy disks last year but almost all locations stopped using them this summer. Also because of this studio c is not programmed
