I'm from Galveston originally and we ate here with my grandma just a few months before she passed back in 2003. We had flown back to visit family and friends for a few days. I still have a photo of our table that day taken by the staff. Rainforest is owned by Landry's Restaurant Group out of Houston...the owner of that group is Tilman Fertitta (Houston Rockets) who is also from Galveston. His company has its prints all over the island and probably why this location is so large. I have some loose family connections with his and Tilman was a childhood playmate of my dad's younger brother. They would run around the backyard of my grandma's house just a few blocks away from here. Life is a full circle, I guess.

And because it's related to your channel's content, the nearest Showbiz Pizza that we used to go to was in Pasadena, just outside of Houston. I didn't have any knowledge of Chuck E. Cheese until we moved to Virginia in '87. I had at least one birthday party at Showbiz in the early 80s and attended several others. I think it became a Chuck E. Cheese long after we moved.

Hope that place gets busier on certain days. A shame that the raft ride is so well hidden from the rest of the cafe. It's something that can be easily missed.

It's been around a very long time at this location...I first ate there in 2005, and yes, I never knew this ride existed until this video. Wait staff should mention it to guests.
