The hooligans nowadays are not even part of the club and they are more interested in fighting than football so they often organize "ustawki" where two groups of hooligans agree to fight without weapons, of course some clubs often break rules but then they are shunned and hated by other clubs for it and don't get away ends on away matches etc. The articles are old as you saw and these things may sometimes happen in derbies. And if you went to ultras end they would be angry that you are recording and would probably get angry and aggressive if you didn't stop. Also you should go to the derby as these matches have in my opinion one od the best atmospheres in the world as well as tifos flares etc.

Coming from a Wisla fan thank you for coming to our club. Hopefully you come again some time to see a bigger game because the game you watched was against a small team. The derby wont happen this season because were in the second division but do come again to a bigger game. The article is correct btw they are very dangerous and crime happens on a daily basis so do come again. Some of the big games remaining this season are against lechia gdansk , motor lublin and gks katowice and there were no away fans because the polish hooligan society is boycotting our games because our hooligans killed another hooligan 2 months ago. The derby is insane so do come they burn stolen from fans scarves flags and its just an amazing atmosphere

Fun fact, they used to hold "ustawki" (fights) inside Cracov. There were stories of people cutting arms or even decapitating each other with machetes. But they got a lot of heat. Cracov is old Polish capitol, a royal city with the oldest university in Poland. It's a city of students and tourists. So to avoid smoke Wisła and Cracovia ultras moved their fights outside the city. I live in Poznań, we have 2 clubs in Polish ekstraklasa, Lech Poznań and Warta Poznań. They actually like each other and while Lech's fan base is much bigger, we also support Warta. You can go freely to Warta match with Lech colours or with Warta colours to Lech ultras sector. It's a phenomenon not only in Poland but Europe as a whole I think.

I went to Krakov around 7 years ago. I didn’t attend a game, but my wife and I walked down to the ground to buy a Wislaw shirt- At the time there was no Wislaw club shop at the ground, just a large Port A Cabin, in the far corner of the car park at the back of the ground. The staff were very helpful and was asking where we were from and where we were staying. Once we told them, they strongly advised that I didn’t wear my new purchase of a Vislaw shirt as to walk back to our hotel, we were actually passing through a very staunch Krakovia area, and by wearing my shirt, I would be lucky if I only ended up with my head kicked in! Like the total coward that I am, I then handed the carrier bag containing my new shirt to my wife to carry. Needless to say I was bricking myself on that walk back to the hotel!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂

It's Krakow and Wisla, just a little PSA. You were very well advised by the shopkeeper, a Wisla or Cracovia jersey in Krakow is asking for trouble. If someone asks you who you support you say neutral or I don't watch football. The hooligan groups are the worst part of one of the best cities in the world.

I live in Krakow, it can be dangerous, i would never wear any club merch especially Wisla/Cracovia around the city. If u ever want to attend the derby just be careful what u wear and when/where u go. Still feels great seeing u walk around our lovely city, would love to meet up if u ever come back 😀

@@serban9810 a very long question from me in England and perhaps tell Ellis too as he is from England What is the difference between steaua bucuresti and fcsb? Sounds very difficult A lot of conflict it seems correct? Thank you for reply
@serban9810
@serban9810 Жыл бұрын
@@BALHAM69 yeah it is very difficult. to keep it short, Steaua Bucuresti is the army's club and it is the only one who owns all the rights to the Steaua brand and name. FCSB is Gigi Becali's team and they lost all the rights to use the Steaua name in court. He's the one who supposedly bought Steaua from the army, but the courts are saying he did it illegally and so they stripped his club of the name after the army sued him. The army re-founded the football team and now Steaua is theirs playing in the 2nd division. Very complicated but basically, legally Steaua is CSA Steaua(army's club) and FCSB is a fake. But the story is waay longer than that, I can tell it to you if you want but it's gonna take a bit:) Oh and also, for Ellis' knowledge, most ultras went with Steaua but casual fans and new sort-of-ultras stayed with FCSB.
@edi0157
@edi0157 Жыл бұрын
@@serban9810 Haha, yeah, I thought that is the National Arena too but I didn’t know we had that bad a reputation even with all the complaints about football ultras lol. I mean, Peluza Nord (North Stand, FCSB s ultras) used to be at the old Steaua s matches just as much as Peluza Sud (South Stand, the ones that stuck with CSA Steaua) so I dont think it is fair to call them sort of ultras. Hell, they were even on break for a while when the whole argument started and didnt go to either team s matches for a while, partly because their leader was in jail at the time. Other things to note are that CSA Steaua had to start from scratch all the way from the 4th tier in 2017, they are now in the 2nd tier but unable to promote because of the same law that forced Steaua to be privatised in the first place (state owned clubs are technically not allowed to play in the first tier. I say technically because loads of clubs get state funding anyway via sponsorships etc.), which is even more of an issue as neither Steaua was ever actually relegated on the field and it would be the only Romanian club to hold that distinction. Right now they are actually in bad form too and are 8th in the second tier but the upcoming match against Rapid will be in the group stage of the cup (we have a new dumb cup format where teams are drawn into groups of 6 but each only plays 3 games, the top 2 qualify). Another fun fact is that the history is actually split off 3 ways as of right now as Becali didn’t buy the team directly off of the army but was initially a nonprofit association that was headed by someone else (Viorel Paunescu) with Becali initially having a minority stake before he took majority control and changed the organisational form to a joint stock company so the trophies won until 1998 belong to the army, the trophies from 1998-2003 belong to the now long dead association and the trophies since 2003 belong to the new FCSB. It is a complete mess as he said. On the topic of fans I want to make it clear just how huge the numbers difference actually is, CSA Steaua has had an average of 1200 fans while FCSB has had an average of 15k this season so far. But those 1200 are just ultras so they can definitely do choreographies and stuff like that, plus the fact that there will be way more fans at that game as it is a derby after all. I mean, 5k is just the official number of away Rapid fans allowed. There will probably be more Rapid fans than CSA ones at the game tbh. The former players meanwhile are pretty much split according the the period they played in (the legends that won the CL back in 1986 when Romania was still communist and the army owned the club support CSA, though even they have been frustrated by the lack of ability to promote lately, the players that played in the Becali period mostly support FCSB). Notable exceptions are Duckadam (you might know him as the only keeper to save 4 penalties in a row and he did it in a CL final to win the match for his team) who supports FCSB and even worked for them for a while, meanwhile on the other side Adi Popa (RW that played for FCSB for 5 years between 2012-2017 during which he was a part of the team that won 3 league titles in a row, that made it to the EL RO16 knocking out Ajax and beating European champions Chelsea in the first leg before succumbing to a 3-2 defeat, that had CL participations etc) has played for and is now supporting CSA Steaua as the real Steaua. So, yeah, a real mess. The annoying part is that it isn’t even the only case of split identity (see CSU Craiova vs FCU Craiova which is the only other one where fans are actually split but even Dinamo has 3 teams called that and Rapid had to fight off a court case from a couple of fans that made a team called ACS Rapid Frumosii Nebuni Ai Giulestiului (“ACS Rapid The Beautiful Insane People of Giulesti”) and claimed that is the rightful phoenix club of Rapid following their bankruptcy, the current first division Rapid won that case as they had bought the history of the old Rapid on auction) but it is the most spoken about, as a FCSB fan I wish all of them would just stop and I think that is the position of pretty much all of us in the end

Visit the Derby between Lechia Gdansk and Arka Gdynia actually in the second polish Division. This will be a war, because it is always a battle about the tri-city (Trójmiasto). Those two cities border on each other in the north of Poland. But I would recommend u to watch it In Gdansk, I guess it will be in May 2024. In November 2023 they’re facing each other in Gdynia. The last time they played against each other was 05.2020 without fans because of corona, so it will be crazy game. And by occasion you could visit the wonderful city of Gdansk.

Been to both Wisla and Cracovia. Bit of trouble at Cracovia but Wisla seemed more family orientated. Most dangerous football club??? Krakow itself is stunning
