Ooooh I love baking!! Are you more interested in sweet recipes or savory recipes? Just breads or types of desserts? I'd definitely recommend cinnamon rolls for sweet (just because they are beginner friendly and if the presentation goes wrong, it gets covered up pretty easily with the topping lol) and some type of chili cheese bread for savory. I've also tried a rosemary and cheese bread - which wasn't a personal favorite as rosemary is a bit too strong for me - but my family loved it. Cheesecakes and pies are also the besttt to bake yourself so you get a nice flaky crust instead of a thin, soft layer at the bottom. Some warm peach cobbler with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream, omg it's amazing

@@Fisk For bread, definitely recommend focaccia for beginners. Super easy to make and no shaping involved. Can also be used for a pizza crust - so delicious. Ciabatta is nice too, really simple. Brioche is good for dinner rolls, they're soft and buttery. As an American, I'd also recommend looking up red lobster cheddar bay biscuits (I made them wayy back in junior high for a culinary class I had and they were super good) as well as cornbread (I'm not sure how popular of a food this is in Sweden). I'd also recommend Japanese milk bread (so soft and fluffy) by itself or with some red bean paste as filling (it's a very lightly sweet paste). Happy baking! :)

don't be ashamed. Go to your local used book store and buy a few baking books. then get a good mixer, measuring cups, bowls, a large piece of stone countertop or wood, rolling pin, and your ready for the basics

Here's one for you, a swiss bread. Fry some chopped onion and bacon cubes and season them. That mix you then add to your doughmixture, either before or after you let the dough rise, doesn't matter. Afterwards you have a great bread/snack.

@Fisk Speaking of Baking / Bacon I had the best bread recipe years ago. Make your bread dough as normal, but then fry up some bacon & save the grease. Then add the Bacon to the bread dough. Make sure no bacon is poking out of the bread dough, Bake bread as normal but take the Bacon grease and brush it on the top of the bread as it bakes. Its slapyamomma GOOD!

HA if you are backing a bread, try some Sauerteig Brot. We Germans know how to make bread ;D The problem is you need to finde someone who has sourdough. If you get some feed it with flour and save some sourdough in an box in the refrigerator. After feeding it let the yeast and bacteria do the work and bake it. This bread is perfekt with good cheese and sausage. If you wanna try I recomend some research how to do.

@10:00 (this is a simple recipe for a sweet if you're interested!) about baking.... a super simple thing i used to make (i can no longer eat this food due to health issues) it takes basically no effort, just a quick recipe for a family gathering or pot-luck or bbq! 2 rolls pilsbury croissants (raw dough) 1 large package cream cheese Roughly 3/4 cup sugar (more or less to your taste) (1/2 cup for the mix, the rest is for the top!) 2-3 tablespoons butter - melted Roughly 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon (more or less for your taste!) Preheat oven to the temp on the can of dough. Grease a 9×11inch pan. Spread one can of croissant dough into greased pan. Bake the 1st layer for a little over half the required time. Remove from oven, set aside. In big bowl, mix together cream cheese, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread mix onto first layer of half-cooked dough. Then spread the second dough over top of the cream cheese mix. Paint the top layer with melted butter, then in separate small bowl, mix remaining sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle sugar mix on top of the melted butter. Place in oven for the directed time on can, plus the remaing time from the first layer. Cool in fridge for a couple hours (or eat warm! Whichever you prefer) and enjoy!
