It’s a little jarring watching this video right after Braxophones because he showed the checklist the devs wanted him to mention for the ad in a community post and when you watch Mtash’s video he just goes through the checklist verbatim. I would have appreciated if he actually said what parts he didn’t like with a little detail like other CC’s instead of only going through a sponsored check list of “parts he loves” and calling it a day.

Yeah but usually you can balance it out by going into spiral, no? They give out a generous amount of keys and it takes a few hours to get to the next chapter where another key is required to continue.

It is because it isn't actually "main missions" sadly, monetization always take the good out of anything. The main mode is Spiral, it has so much depth, story wise. Better progression and many more. The gacha side of the game is just there because people waste shit tons of money into it. They want to make people plays spiral most of the time. Monthly logging gives bunch of keys, keys are really cheap and are given to you frequently through almost every aspect of the game. I'm not saying developers are justify or something. They are the ones greeeding so much that put gacha into this game. You just can see the love put into many things inside Spiral. They actually cared about the core game.

Sword of Convallaria just made me realize I'm done with wishing mobile gachas could be mechanically better but can't due to the constraints of the genre. The unit limits, no control over unit acquisition, maps are not diverse enough to be meaningful, tactics only matter after you hit a threshold of power (so on and so forth). Play for months to hit the point where you have some degree of agency. Orrr I could just boot up any of the greats in the genre, have none of that baggage, with a defined ending.

Play Playstation's Final Fantasy Tactics and read the story and enjoy the game, you'll get all units eventually, times where gacha Games didn't exist. I'm playing SOC and it seems less rewarding as other tactics games like Brown Dust, when I realize I don't get new units in a month's time, I'll quit

big thing gachas have the other games do not is constantly new content. I wish we could have for example a tactics ogre where every couple months there was new content added but thats not going to happen without the company being able to profit off it. This game is quite fun for what it is

I prefer subscription based models but its just not as profitable and even games like WOW and final fantasy have added more avenues to make money. Then there other games like Stardew valley where the dev is passionate and you have a heavy modding presence.

play the spireal mode, there isn't any aspect of that gacha system. The character progression and everything is done only inside the spiral mode so you do not need to farm things in gacha mode. Even the "rank" and copies of the characters are meaningless. It is a single player game put inot a gacha money maker game.

Not a turn based fan, but i enjoyed this one more than any left side screen against right side ones (or variations). Speedrunned the life out of it in 2 days and it's very slow now (nothing new, just gacha games). Got like 6-7 ssrs in no pulls every time in first or second 10 pull. Was even surprised that skills and passives have different options, like 2 different subclasses to choose from. Don't know how far spirals go, it's week 40 for me, and at first it was whatever, now i really enjoy this mode (also in event section you have rewards tied to this mode + regular rewards). And you can test some characters and abilities there too. Also it was kinda a mistake to pull on skin gacha, still you get some good rewards out of it too. Right now it's just pushing global level and spirals when done for today (there is also classical tower). Pretty good so far.

If anyone is curious but on the fence, let me just say this game has honestly been addictive fire so far. The pixel art is ehhh if you aremt used to it, but quickly becomes endearing. Combat really does feel like you have to think ahead and plan shit. Give it a shot if you are interested in the strategy combat

mtashed can't play a game for more than a few weeks because he gets bored of everything so quickly. It's like ADHD children who are initially enthusiastic about games and then lose interest after a few days because they get bored too quickly and lack variety. It's best to do something new every day so that interest doesn't disappear.

Imo, so far the game is great. It has that Final Fantasy Tactics feel to it.. but.. The energy requirements for certain missions are not balanced. For instance, the mission to get the upgrade materials are all the same regardless of the difficulty level. Easy - 20 energy Medium - 20 energy Hard - 20 energy The game should make things feel more.. natural. Take Epic Seven game mechanics for example. Energy requirements for basic missions are just nice to provide an enjoyable time of gaming while not being too demanding. And the more difficult the mission for the materials, the higher the energy requirements. This helps to keep players occupied in grinding while devs come up with new/additional content.

for your info it is gacha game but 5star character rate is 2% and weapon is 5% which is really high . so rather than building pity like genshin you can just 10 pull and hope to get character. since it is like 15% chance for you to get 5 star each 10 pull and like 3 % for double 5 star. weapon is even better while 5%*10 is not 50% you can totally except a 5 star weapon in every 10 pull. there is also a lot of gem they are giving out each week for farming so ya really nc even though it is gacha. not to mention you can just play rogue like story mode if you don't really want anything to do with gacha . so ya it was the best i have seen when it come to tactic game.

I just don't like how they present some of the story dialogues, where there is only a black background with characters highlighted. Just doesn't make sense to me, I would use this setup to convey something epic or emotional dialogue, but that's not the case at all here imo. Also the inability to turn camera view to better see the battlefield. Other than these I really enjoy it and looking through character and combat potentials, I find it promising.

This is Gacha and very P2W, even the story mode u need Keys that u will have to buy with money if u want to see all storylines. The gacha is terrible, EVRYTHING cost money!! Like even something as small as changing ur account name cost money.....but the gameplay is fun though, just the gacha ruins it after a while...

You can even save up so much for the next banner Comparing to most AAA gacha games these days, you have 100% chance to get only 1 character in standard banner in day 1. If you want that strong character in 1.0 banner? money bro - Story mode u need Keys that u will have to buy with money? I played this game for 2 days STRAIGHT! It's crazy! My pulls were even crazier. It took me 30 pulls on beginner banner to get a ssr (Iggy). 30 pulls into Gloria banner I get Gloria AND Berryl. Solid solid game!!
