Grew up hanging laundry outside. My mother always brought out a few paper towels and would tear off a little piece to cover the clothes line so it wouldn’t transfer any dirt to the clothes. Hanging clothes was an art in the 50’s. Sheets and towels on the ‘outside’ lines, underwear on the inside, etc.

At 1:30, the clamps on the brass candlestick is to hold a glass chimney. I have that same candlestick and paid $20.00 for it years ago at a gift shop. I use a 6" thick taper wax candle. I love honeycomb wax candles. They don't produce smoke and soot, burn slowly, and smell good without a fake odor.

@@ThrilledThrifter Keep a look out. You will probably run across some. Now that you know what to look for you will see them everywhere. I have one candlestick that will actually work with an oil lamp globe. You might want to take measurements and with you when you shop. I always have a small pad in my purse for that very reason.

It has been so hot where I live in Texas that my laundry dries faster on the clothesline than in the dryer. I enjoyed seeing your items at the end. I need to go to the goodwill in your area. Where i live. The goodwill prices keep going up. They’re wanting $ 12.99 for a used picture. The top , t-shirts and blouse range from $4.99 to $6.99. If it’s upscale brand it will be higher. The used tennis shoes $19.99 it’s not goodwill to me anymore.

Very beautiful bowls! ... Love what you did with them. We went to a town we have been wanting to go thrifting in. We waited until it cooled off. I didn't know it was National Thridting day ... we got some things half off. The store was much too big for us. There must be a method to their madness. We were looking for certain things and so we dig through hundreds of selves of artwork. We are still trying to recover. You would have loved their Christmas area. Room after room! I enjoyed going to an estate sale with my nursing friend this morning...tons of crafting stuff (and I'm not!) but I still managed to bring home a huge sack full for $20! I usually always find something, but a few weeks ago, the same friend & I went to another estate sale & there wasn't anything with my name on it...---I'm always looking over your shoulder when you walk down the framed aisles, to see if any of Ida Bisek Prokop's works have made it down your way.
