I’ve been fascinated by the story of the moon landing for as long as I can remember. This was really interesting account from a firsthand perspective. I had to think of the verse that says, “the heavens declare the glory of God.” I think it’s pretty amazing that a man who went to the moon, came back and learned to trust his life to the Creator of it all!

I love this. I was fortunate to start a NASA job at age 17, fixing the console monitors. I was quite gifted in fixing them, and in bulk, so I got a job doing that and got into digital video way back then, 1979. I worked through the entire Shuttle program, from start to literally taking the racks apart at a tracking station after the program ended. I grew up on this stuff.

I am disgusted with all this conspiracy nonsense. To me it’s much worse than the “Stolen Valor” ppl who pretend to be something they weren’t. After all, those folks at least respect the ppl / organizations they’re stealing from. These deniers tho, all they do is demean, mock and deny the hard work and sacrifice of ppl who should have our utmost respect and gratitude. Imagine being a family member of one of the Challenger crew and these conspiracy ppl mock them and say they never died. They spit on the sacrifices of so many. They are some of the worse ppl imo.

My college buddies and I from FIT once rented a Cessna 172 from Melbourne Airport not far from the Cape at night and circled Apollo 16 outside the modest restricted area at 2000 ft. We flew up the Indian River and flew outside of the small restricted area and witnessed the Saturn V lit up from all the spotlights. As we were over the ocean at 2000 ft. we watched the majesty of that ship about 2 or 3 days before it was launched. I'll never forget that flight.

July 20, 1969. I was at the 7th National Jamboree along with 35,000 other scouts. That night around our campfire big enough to seat us all, we watched the first lunar landing on primitive large screens. I doubt it was live, but we watched everything that the public saw. After all these years my fondest memory was not Neil stepping onto the moon, reciting those famous words, but how quiet 35,000 young adolescents could be. We all sat there on grass mesmerized. I know for a fact that if one of us woulld have dropped a pin we would have all heard it.

I went to a talk given by Charlie Duke, in Melbourne Australia , about 40 years ago. He showed everyone his 'home movie' which he shot while he was on the moon. He projected it on the wall, and he showed the Lunar Rover racing around in one sixth of the earth's gravity. Apollo 16 was before anyone had anything like CGI. He had used a 16mm Bolex camera, which was mechanical, it was actually a crank handle wound up spring loaded movie camera. And no auto-focus or exposure. The film showed everything perfectly. Charlie pointed out how the Rover's spinning wheels ejected 'rooster tails' of moondust to a ridiculous height because of the lower gravity and zero air. The dust plumes shot up to around the height of the power cables in any typical street. The Rover was just a platform with wheels and seats, some batteries and powerful electric motors. When this film was shot, by Charlie, on the moon, there was no method known or invented which could artificially generate these movie images. The reason is simple, he went there, filmed there, and came back . As you can see, he is still alive.

@andythorne6236

The live footage from the moon was a focused beam aimed at a receiver on earth. There was a direct line of sight to it with nothing blocking it. It wasn't broadcast directly to all the TVs. A cell phone tower is a signal that gets sent out in all directions so the strength of the signal quickly wanes. Also the one mile you mention is hardly accurate.

Thank for this interview! It's amazing how short people's memories are, from denying the holocaust to landing on the Moon or denying that Jesus came in the flesh like is talked about in John's epistles. As a Christian it seems inconsistent to believe that the gospel of John for example, written nearly 2000 years ago, is eyewitnesses testimony about a man dieing and rising again but not believing an eyewitness that is talking to you. I'm something of a conspiracy nut myself and am very skeptical about what we are fed by the media, scientists falsely so-called, and the rest of their anti-God ilk. But Duke is right. The evidence is very strong that Man did land on the moon. I have always enjoying studying the ancient civilizations' mind-boggling achievements, like building the pyramids, the Nazca lines, the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, etc. Putting a man on the moon barely rises to that level.

All the landings had to be at times when the Moons terminator had passed a few days before but with the landing site aimed at Earth. This is just after 1st quarter and the reason is if you waited until Full Moon or close to, the Moon's surface temperature would get too hot for a comfortable moonwalk and the spacesuits may not be able to cope. Also, with Sun very high overhead it would minimise shadows and make objects harder to pick out during landing navigation and rover trips, so Sun lower in sky is better.

April 16, 1972, was a few days before my third birthday. What was I up to that day? Did my parents watch it on TV as I toddled about? "If you're going to fake something, do it once and shut up." -- Charlie Duke. This appealed to both the Christian in me and the geek.

@@veritas399 like when he got out there on that Moon set and said "This is believable!" You should really pay attention to this interview. It's obvious. If you can't at least tell when someone is being dishonest even when they appear to be being dishonest because sometimes it looks that way but they are telling the truth. He made a number of Freudian slips and what not. Listen...human beings can't go beyond low Earth orbit. That's the limit as far as we know.

With man landing on the Moon(blood on moon) and the war between nations to get there, I like to suspect it is fulfillment of Joel 2:31. This is the first time I thought about the dark sky with the sun shining. Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.

@ News Flash: It has been proven that the moon landing was filmed in a studio, ON EARTH! The technology didn’t exist in the 1960’s and the astronauts were well compensated for going along with the narrative. I’m just respectfully saying the truth and at the same time letting people know that the money that was thought to have been spent on NASA was used by others for Black Projects.
