Wow! As a music teacher for over 18 years, I have to say that was a wonderful performance. I can even tell that you're not using autotune to fix anything post performance. And that is so incredibly refreshing. One of the telltale signs of a fantastic performance vocally is that this song is over four minutes long and yet close to the end most weaker vocalists will start to become sloppy or tired sounding. However, I have to point out even up to the last note of this song you have such an amazing control over every note. That control is rocksolid you do a fantastic job. thank you! It amazes me that Disney has not picked you up, and given you a job yet.

@Silverbugle I could not have said that better. The pitch is very good, the quarter note runs, the pleasant tone, the natural and even vibrato. All of it great. What’s funny is, and I think this is telling, when I think of this song and want to hear it? I come HERE instead of even to Whitney Houston!! That is a compliment.
@robert40392 жыл бұрын
@SilverBugle Also, just as a note, I am a piano player and singer, and my father was the director of bands at both the University of Mississippi and the University of Alabama. Not saying that to be boastful at all! Just saying that I have a music pedigree myself. So yeah I definitely agree with your assessment of this girl. She really is good. Maybe not quite as much power as a Loren Allred or Celine Dion or Ariana Grande, but VERY solid. I also like the note choices she makes. You mentioned fatigue as part of that and I agree with that. But also the choices in the first place, trying runs that aren’t even worth it but are a little bit out of reach for example. She keeps the choices within her abilities and that makes for a comfortable listening experience as you well know. Glad to see your comment sir. I know you are a fine music teacher.
@jessejive11710 ай бұрын
Unless you hear out of tune notes, there’s no way you would know someone use using pitch correction if it’s used correctly and they weren’t very attitude to begin with. Pretty much no matter how good your ear is they’re pretty much no matter how much you record. Yeah, she probably did put autotune over the entire thing but again the only possible way to tell, I promise you, is if you hear attitude notes. And even then they may have used pitch correction software and just missed a note. it’s funny because people constantly say Post Malone is using autotune in his life and he’s way better at singing than me, don’t get me wrong, but I hear attitude notes. It makes me think people are just deaf and they say autotune all the time. He uses it on the recording

This is how she is and comments like these are exactly why she’ll keep playing everything safe, to not get comments saying she’s missing charisma or she’s lacking things the original singer has or had. She isn’t gonna be like others in anyway, this girl actually has talent and if she wants to stay safe from comments like yours then so what? It’s her channel, her voice, her emotions, not her songs, but everyone has their own sense of style and at least she didn’t ruin the song.

Wasn't sure at first, but hitting those highs brought involuntary tears to my eyes. Only a few voices have done that before. (I don't know why that happens). Thank you!

We need more of this upbeat, casual, powerful songs that generate that awsome smile. Most natural we have seen.
