We all want a modern version of the Cell processor. With somewhat modern parallel cores, inspired by GPU cores, but no weird driver bullshit. No 50 different shader types, just give us compute threads, samplers, and have unified memory EDIT: ah I see someone in the question mentioning it. Also UCSC could get better audio quality holy cows

The difficulty of using the Cell Processor made it so only the late PS3 games (2011-2014) saw the greatest potential of what the console what capable of, which was why PS3 games before that time ran doggedly slower than their X360 counterparts. After all, the console was used as part of a supercomputer cluster, so glimpses of its raw computing power did not go unnoticed during the late 2000s 😂 If you're implying that a better, open source version of that specific processor would be the vision, sure I could get behind that. Just don't literally reincarnate the same Cell processor that troubled game devs for so long in the 2000s.

The vector processors look like sandboxed WASM VMs. And the network of them look like fixed Component networks, ready for the Component WASM to take advantage of.
