when i started following the career of Christen Press, years ago, staying up at night here in The Netherlands to watch the games, Ali Krieger quickly hit my eye.. somehow she flies into peoples hearts with her play, resilience and mentality, and with her off-field behaviour... Can't find the English words to express myself but hey... A big thanks Ali, have a good final, and a great life with Ashlyn and your other loved ones...

I have been a fan of Ali since she started her professional career and I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting Ali not just once but twice. I tried to meet her several times but was never able to until Aug 2023 when they played Wave FC and the other this weekend after the championship game. I was lucky enough to be able to talk with her for a few minutes both times and she is just an absolutely wonderful person with such a special and beautiful and precious soul. She's an absolute gem. Despite all she has had to endure in her career, all she has had to overcome, and for what she is having to navigate through at the moment she was so incredibly kind to me. I was so appreciative that she gave me her time, she took a picture with me both times and she makes you feel so seen and like your time is important and she so appreciates those who support women's soccer. I am so happy she got her championship and could go out in style and be sent off to her retirement with all the love and support and celebration she so deserves. She truly is something so special and has left this game and women's soccer in such a better place and she has left a huge impact and she will be deeply missed. Ali Krieger, THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything. 💙💙💙

When Vlatko did not pick Ali and Ashely for Olympics > i said he would rue the day, and he did. It was not a a given but if you watch Ashley play goalie on her club team that year, she was the best in the league, def in the top two, and Ali was (is) one of the best defenders in the world, it was a mistake on his part, big time! I was so heart broken, I am sure they both were as well. So happy she/Gothum is in the final! I love both teams
