I really liked the Botez Gambit Declined: Stupid variation

I've played the guy who played Black in that game numerous times in Crazyhouse (mostly 3 0). He is consistently rated 1950-2000 as a crazyhouse player, and he delights in playing the stupidest possible openings (he virtually always plays 1.g3/g6 which are generally very risky in crazyhouse) and winning anyway when lower-rated opponents like me have trouble breaking through his fianchetto with pawn drops. The best analogy in standard chess would be a guy who plays the Bongcloud every game just to toy with and infuriate opponents who know it's bad, but aren't strong enough to punish it correctly - they either play too timidly and watch as their advantage slowly evaporates, or they play too aggressively and end up making unsound sacrifices or getting positionally overextended. The only reason he would submit this ridiculous bullet game to Guess the ELO is that he's absolutely starved for attention IRL and thinks trolling Levy in front of his subs is a perfect way to get more.

As a 1300 myself, it's pretty much the wildcard elo where anything happens. Bad enough to blunder, good enough to play high level tactics. Some don't study any openings and rely on tactics, some study openings and lose when there's no theory and they're not ahead yet. It's wild out here

I mean sure but they are in my opinion the worst kind of dice. They are difficult to roll and unpleasant to hold. They are also often used for the lowest damaging attacks, which further decreases the satisfaction of rolling one. Finally, if you are buying fancier dice or dice made of unusual materials, D4s are often the first ones to break because of their overall worse structural integrity.

You probably need to have the time controls be known when looking through a game the first time when trying to guess their elo, or you need your mods to curate submissions to be in a single time category. The time drastically changes the quality of play, and it would make for more reasonable guessing conditions.

Game 3 happens a lot around 1000, so much so that I don't like it's trolling. I think they feel sacrificing a bishop for 1 or 2 pawns and stopping opponent from castling is a positive on their end. For real, some people play like that, especially around 1000
