I really love and appreciate how Kevin admits that there is no altruistic reason for his efforts on helping others. This felt very real ✨💖

Thanks for hosting me Jon ❤ love the edits. I launched a book recently that goes into very intimate detail and also offers some self help principles. If you enjoyed the podcast, would humbly ask to check it out in the link in description.

The problem with medication for depression/bipolar is that it’s not a cure but it is sold as such. How can it be a cure when the makers and psychiatrists don’t even know how and why they work? You go see a psychiatrist and you will probably walk out with a bag of medication and that’s it. The whole medication process is by trial and error. The psychiatrist will at most suggest you can also go see a councillor. The medication does work at times to prevent your moods from going too high or too low. It can help you get out of bed and perform your daily tasks. However, people should treat this period as a ‘window of opportunity’ to improve their mental and physical state and not a cure. The patient has to start exercising everyday, go the gym, eat right including supplements, get enough sleep, get some sunlight everyday and radically change his/ her lifestyle. You might even want to try meditation or yoga. Going to the church/temple might give you some mental strength but don’t expect any miracles. You still need to do the work consistently and wean off the medication eventually.
